I had other computers "back in the day", but I bought an SVI-728 from a friend in 1999. Hasn't been until recently that I've actually started exploring it, so I would like to know if there's a good place to start off on my MSX adventure. For instance, are there any interface cards or cartridges that would allow me to transfer stuff I find on the net from my PC to my MSX? Where can I get a run-down on the ancient and recent history of MSX? Where should I go to catch up?
Anything that anyone would be kind enough to help me with would be very much appreciated.

Answering to your question: to simply interface the MSX to the rest of the universe, the most unexpensive way is to use WAVeR v.2. This is a PC tool that converts MSX ROMs to WAV audio files that can be loaded from any MSX using its cassette input connection.
To learn more about WAVeR, have a look at http://www.robsy.net
Select the ROM conversion tools page.
Kind regards and welcome!
