Hi folks, I'm Geiru, a nick ripped from -wohoo- DS6. My real name = Vincent van der Vliet and I have been MSX'ing since I was about eight years old, which is about 16 years ago. (Calculate... calculate... Now you know my age - not my A.G.E.). At the moment I live in Utrecht and still enjoy my 8250, 8280 and A1ST Turbo R - whose diskdrive is still broken

I have been a part of Umax for a near-insignificant amount of time, my name's on the staffscrolls of Realms of Adventure part I. I helped Peter Meulendijks build the game's world and submitted some ideas and maps, but since all I can do on an MSX decently except gaming is making graphics, more skills were unneeded. In case you didnt know, Peter is one of the best MSX graphic artists ailve. Oh yeah, I wrote the introduction story to the game
We never finished part II due to busy schedules from both sides. All we did is still on my HD, however, maybe I should pick up that phone some day...

Uh... I won't make this too long... All-time favs then: Dragonslayer VI (No power/no intelligence challenge, anyone? Gonna try a no speed/no luck challenge one of these days), SD-Snatcher, Skooter, Usas, Undeadline and Maze of Galious.

See you around!

Cool, a MSX'er from Utrecht
I really hope you'll get together with Peter again to finish the 2nd part of RoA! Peter seems to be really disconnected from the MSX scene, it's a shame... I hope he knows how many people are anxiously expecting new RoA episodes!

I'm afraid taht Peter does NOT know how many people are anxiously awaiting those follow-ups, but to be honoest, nor do I. Maybe you guys tell me and I'll try to blackmail Peter into completing the political intrigues in the city of Demandred... and more.

Basically everybody who bought part 1 is waiting for it! Just last Tilburg fair I talked to several people that were really anxious to see a new part, since the game engine is really good but it ends too soon.
Looking at threads in this forum there are many people that really like RPG's and would really like to see more new RPG's on MSX. I think if RoA continues you guys will make a lot of people very happy!

It seems very difficult to take simply the telephone or emailing Peter Meulendijks MR. Geiru ,he is waiting already for more than a year for your phonecalls and helping hand.
But you are not the only one, several people promised to help with music etc.
I make one exception and that is Frederik Boelens , who is finsihing now the moonsound music for Pentaro-2 and The Lost World . So, that sunrise can make that promise.
Thanks frederik in advance.
For the people who wants to give Peter Meulendijks serious support can mail me at my email-address rhiep@msx.ch or sunhisan@euronet.nl

I know, Mr. Sunrise. I'm not going to make excuses of any kind, just that the ambition wasn't there due to other things occupying my time. You and Peter will hear from me. Soon. Promise.

Many MSX projects have suffered from lack of ambition in the past. It's good to see this promise right here on the MRC forums. Keep us informed!

Is Frederik aware of the fact that many compositions John Hassink made for The Lost World are actually MB-stereo conversions of already existing MoonSound-songs? I do hope John knows about someone else converting his songs to MoonSound...

Didn't know Frederik still used his MSX... A nice surprise .

I, too, promised Peter to help him writing the story and submitting game maps, by the way, but since it was so silent around him, I guessed the project just died... And actually I still think so

Well.. I didn't know that.
I did contact Hans Cnossen, and I got the moonsound songs he made for TLW.
The converting job is now almost done. When it's all finished I just let Sunrise decide what to do with them. A Bussum release would be nice
if Johnny don't want his songs converted by someone else, he should send his songs to Sunrise.

Hello, I am Johnny Hassink, and I stumbled on this discussion by coincidence.
If someone is converting my songs, I would like to hear them first, and if necessary make conversions myself.

Will someone who knows more about this please contact me on JohnHassink@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance.

Wow, what a surprise, seeing you on this site as well! Haven't talked to you for a while, but we sure need to get together in a while... Maybe I shouldn't be too lazy and just pick up the phone
