Maybe we should open a special ringtone corner in the msx.org downloads section? MID-files which are very suitable for using on your mobile?! I have the Nokia 3650 and not all MID-files sound just as great......So maybe, such a corner could be useful!?

Latok maybe you can use PSMplay, i use this one to convert midi to imode format.
Lot of options to make your ringtone sound better and can handle different ringtone formats.

I think a special corner for music and ringtone is a great idea. Because if you want a msx ringtone you have to make one your self.

On my GSM I have The Maze Of Galious ring tone
Found the midi file somewhere on the web, don't remember where...

1)F1 Spirit (The intro, the menu BGM, the game music, everything!)
2)Yie ar kung fu 1
3)Yie ar kung fu 2
4)Goonies
5)Road fighter

Bad news , because kv 1 was on the game collection 1, i assumed it had
scc music , well..... is doesn't.

But i think scc version of yie ar kungfu II is very nice.
Saab_rider, isn't F1 spirit , goonies and yie ar kungfu 1 already done ??
Roadfighter has almost no music but can be done offcourse.

What do you think about those spectrum zx like tunes ??
(rambo III, int. karate ect ect)

I've made many ringtones of MSX games music (starting from midi files), using some automatic tools. It's very easy!!!

If you are interested, I'm ready to upload it in msx.org...

But It exists a website (free or not) where you can do "cut and paste" of txt and send melody on your phone?

maybe it's possible to do something like that on the MRC? Since I'm not into mobile phones or ringtones I'm not sure which way you want the data. Is it the same way for every brand? (eg. just MML like C8R8D8 etc??)

enribar, making rintones with the right tool isn't as hard as it looks like.
i make ringtones for imode (mld format with wav!!) and for my nokia 6310 (simple tunes offcourse).

But this toppic started with a request to make midi of a game music,
so if someone likes a tune the midi format can be converted to the ringtone format
of that phone (request here ?).

(Snout, there are loads of different ringtone formats and versions.)
