I just start here because it is so sad for Koetje's topic
Moa to start with an answer: I dunno why girls arn't interested in computers non of my friend like computers as well and to be honest i don't like them too..
I just love to play games on them, that's it.
and for a pic: you probably have seen me by now  |

Girls will always remain a mystery to me... You look nice on that pic, however 
So if you "just like games", what are you doing on this Forum? I like games too and millions of people do, but most of 'm don't show any interest in MSX. I guess that the average mainstream gamer would go for PS1. The smarter ones would go for a Sega machine like Saturn or Dreamcast, but MSX...?
Unless you were born in the 70's, I still don't understand... MSX is a very creative machine. MSX forces you to do more than games (and it's very friendly for those newbies). That's why ended up becoming a games programmer and composer after all. Without MSX my life would've been so much different, I think...

Nice on that foto, i AM very cute you know it is just a stupid photo
and what I am doing on this forum well very simple MSX is just 'jeugdsentiment' it was my first computer ever so how can i even forget MSX.
And i used to do more with an MSX than playing games but that was a long time ago.
Now it is just for fun and playing games. |

Ah, that makes sense. What kinda games do you like? I'm the typical RPG type, but my gf only likes those "bash-the-buttons" games (Track & Field, Hyper Sports, etc.). |

Well nowaday's I love to play RPG's but in my MSX periode I didn't have RPG's because I didn't know anyone who had an MSX exept my uncle and he didn't have those games unfortunately. My favourite games then were Road fighter, nemesis, hyper sports, Vampire killer. |

I start to like you more and more
All the games you mention are great titles, except for Vampire Killer (I know I'm pretty much the only one who doesn't like it and I'm gonna be flamed for this). I always kept on wondering why this shepherd lady sat inside a brick-wall, changing colors when you hit her. I think it's a pretty bad platformer with even worse AI. The theme is good... the game has one real good PSG tune... and it has a certain charm because it's the first Konami MSX2 title. However, I still don't see why so many people like that game. (I do like later versions on SNES and Playstation, though).
So when were you introduced to RPG's? You also play the japanese ones, or you only play them when they're translated...?
(I know... I ask too many questions sometimes) |
