Aloha Yes I heard the track you send to MOA, it was really nice! I was surprised by it since I never knew you had interest in making music but maybe that's because I saw you as an artist pur sang. But I really liked it.

And about internet cooperativity, maybe I just was a bit too demanding, but there was a certain level of quality I wanted to achieve and with this cooperation I couldn't. I tried to get a singer based in LA to work with me but he was too busy :/ he had a great voice though.

thanks but i really care about expression and whether it be clay, it be paper or it be screen and that be in abstract, notes or pixels is not really important it's good to express yourself (as u well know, since u cover a lot of different directions too )

yes about internet cooperativity i hear u.. I wanted to point out that it's do-able. Indeed if u work with an artist u eventually will have to have patience. Most people are too busy and u can't do much about it I have some similar problems but i am certain that i will finish something with them

How's it going with arranging anyways, any chance u will pick it up again (as i know u have tried a lot to create music with others earlier)? I am still looking forward to some sort of Enigma/Deep forest type album from u

I am actually trying to catch up on the few directions I suck at like 3D modelling and concept art sketches. Bought some books, got some video tut's...a lot of patience and practise, but it's paying off. I completely agree with your expression remark, it's creative, I need to be able to create or I'll implode. I don't really care in what form I let it out, I am just better at some forms

True, but it would be a whole lot easier if I found someone to work with closer by, like...next door...yes, a pretty female singer with too much spare time living next door. single. Thank you god!

Haven't arranged that much lately...as I learn I am never happy with past arrangements and thinking about it gives me a producers block I guess There are still a lot of things I want to do like the arrangements, or strictly piano versions of MSX songs. As for the Enigma-type thingy, I have about 5 songs which could be called 'done' or nearly done, but I need vocals for them to proceed...and I need to record some again since my producing qualities have improved somewhat. Lately I have been focusing more on actually learning to play piano two-handed (which I never could) and orchestral music which is a pain in the butt...at least to get it to sound somewhat real.

This post was deleted in the other thread. It's very on-topic here.

And I never mentioned your name, nor did I refer directly to you. I am not trying 'to be smart' with you, I was explaining what things I do I consider "MSX-related" and which are regularly described as an insult, blasphemy or lack of skill. Since my universe doesn't resolve around you (sorry!), not everything I say is directed at you, ok

Fact 1: You referred to 'some elements on this forum', not 'elements' in general.
Fact 2: The forumthread where the words 'blasphemy' (by Algorythms) and 'insult' (by me) were used which was about remaking SD-Snatcher.
Fact 3: That discussion was held only yesterday and you participated in it.

So don't give me that "I'm innocent" crap, you know damn well who you meant! Even if you didn't name names explicitely, your insinuations are entirely clear.

If you wanna take a piss at someone, at least show them some respect by addressing them personally, and not take their statements out of context. It's so weak to make an half-arsed sneer at people and then snicker at them while backing away.

For your information: our forum policy again:

The MSX Resource Center has little rules. We like it that way. Moderation will be done only when really needed, using common sense as our guidelines. There are, however, a few things you can keep in mind to prevent being moderated.

Be nice to other people on this site
Be careful with sarcasm. It is often misunderstood, especially by people who aren't as good in English as you are
Respect the fact that there are people who don't share your opinions
Don't bring your own opinion as if it is the one and only truth
Do not post anything even remotely related to warez (illegal software etc.). MSX or not, your post will be removed
Read the MSX Resource Center Policies

Please keep in mind, that the opinions and reactions on postings and in the forum, reflect those of our visitors, not those of msx.org. We like you!

We hope you have fun on our website and its forums.

An ordinairy flame like this isn't on topic in any topic, but since you are already making such a fuss of something minor like this, I wouldn't dare nag about it, who knows what might happen.

Well your facts are all true, nothing wrong about it, but you are still missing the point that my remark wasn't a personal attack on you while you act like someone majorly offended you. And my point beyond that is that there are a lot of people, past and present, that have made remarks like that.

No problem, your persistent urge to show the board how incredibly insulted you are over something utterly meaningless is so horrendously annoying I will gladly be of service. Mr. Lesparre, you are acting like a pathetic little brat who was called dickhead by the big bad bully. Growns ups smile at the obviously intended pun, they don't make a small negative reference toward a group they are part of a personal vendatta. Now, I have adressed you personally, do you feel more respected now? For some reason I doubt it.

and not take their statements out of context.

This is the ONLY thing in your whole flame that is actually something valid. Yes, I DID take your words, and those of others out of their context and applied them, perhaps falsely, to my own situation (remaking music). You did never mention anything about that, but I did read 'remaking a game' as 'remaking anything'.

And going off so bad about it that they actually had to delete your message is what? Proof of courage? Indication of intelligence? For someone as bright as you are Patriek, you sure write a lot of shit. I already was having some slight second thoughts about that after your hilarious "those were konami's last gifts to us!" remark.

ps. for Sander, I am aware of the normal forum rules, and I do acknowledge that part of this reply is as flamy as the original message posted by Patriek, but since he placed it here instead of E-mailing me about his problems I had little choice than to reply on the board.

(and Ro will love this )

..and this is as far as the discussion goes. You both had the 'opportunity' to see how far the policies of the MRC forums stretch, this is as far as you can get.

I assume you both are men enough to drop this discussion from now on and get on with the real MRC-forum talk. As said many time before: People can disagree on the MRC forums, people don't have to like each other. We even don't mind heated discussions, but things shouldn't get as direct and/or personal as this. Case closed.

Agreed.

So, now we have left this behind us, on the more interesting scale: the final tracklist for Arranger Platinum has been determined and in contradiction to earlier numbers of 17 and 20, the CD *will* contain 24 songs! that's 7 more than the last album, and we actually had to put some others in hold or we would have gone way over it.

The current status is that 16 songs are completed and recorded. 4 songs are recorded but need remastering, 2 songs are nearly done and another one needs to be a little longer That means only ONE song left to build from scratch.

More good news is that Sandy of Generation-MSX had agreed to put up a seperate arranger section on the website, so we have a new place we can put up previews and info!

while reading this helarious postings, I remember a demo or 2 from the Dynamic Duo (hey erik?!) which were just pure flaming. I would love to read that scroll again which has the legend words:
'He can't do jack about it. It's his parents fault. They should not have had kids untill they we're adults'
hahahaa..
