and here's the reason: only the first 70 voices in Bank 1 have been tuned, the others still have to be tuned. Probably the off-note sounding songs use instruments >70. Am I rite, am I rite?

I have some wishes for future releases:
  • Usage of the Sample RAM of the Moonsound
  • Real Time Recording
  • In the replayer, I'd like to see the program change in the list on the left when there is a program change on a certain MIDI channel during songplay

snout, Michiel gave me this unfinished OPL4 soundbank somewhere in november. That one indeed had only the first 70 GM voices tuned. But this new soundbank is from end of december or something? On the website, I can't find any info on this soundbank not being completely tuned, so I thought we can assume this new soundbank IS tuned, just like the previous one (although that one had its problems, I know. But still, it was kinda usable). What's the use of publishing a NEW soundbank which is actually more offtune than a previous one? Especially, given the fact he is marketing this soundbank on his webpage as a NEW GM soundbank! I really thought Michiel went all the way with this new soundbank......

Michiel, could you explain what 'bugfixes' you did in this version? So far I haven't found many changes compared to beta2. Apart from the MIDI-in, that is

I think the changes are merely internal. Like that Frequency calculation.

I can tell you the project isn't dead at all. Michiel won't be @ Tilburg to show us a new version, but he's been busy a lot, the last couple of months. I believe he has rewritten the internal structure of the application again. Isn't the first time he did this Probably, he will give you guyz some more information about it pretty soon. No worries!

Well...I´ve got no suggestions...but one wish.

All MSX music programs developed since today are inspired or made as a tracker.I´m surprised how a program like meridian has got very interesting options for making music...and I´m thinking a lot about it....

But...the world could be easier with a sequencer look-like program. In other words - just my opinion - I HATE trackers.

One of my wishes is to see a "pseudo-sequencer" running on a MSX...Dreaming is free ! :-D

otoh, if you want a full-blown sequencer to create midifiles, then use a sequencer on PC, and use midi to trigger your msx hardware.. There's plenty of choice in traditional midi sequencers.. trackers however that work on/for msx are rare.

Well...Just giving my opinion...not want a "full-blown"...just a clear, easy and more intuitive look-like program that might work and look-like as a sequencer. It´s what I said before.I´m just talking about that possibility. And nothing else

Ok, great!
I was just wondering, because after a steady stream of information and beta versions, it became eerily silent all of a sudden. :\
