Though lurking and occasionally posting here from quite some time already, I never introduced myself!

Well... where to begin...

I'm Bart Roijmans
I was a member of Compjoetania back in the ol' days... (not Compjoetania TNG)
and yes, I still think we should've came up with a better name than that

I did 90% of Compjoetania's music, about 50% of the graphics, and about 3% of the code... And the weekly 'gathering' of Compjoetania was in the backyard of my parent's house (in a dedicated compjoetania summer loft), so I kinda had to be one of the more active members ^_^
I also did some joined projects with Zodiac on MSX...

Currently I'm working for Engine Software together with MrRudi and Moa (and some other MSX-celebs from the past).
Still creating musix and graphics, though musix takes up about 90% of my time at work... mostly GBA tunes and sound effects.
In my free time I work on Arranger tunes (there's a new arranger CD coming up) and some other music projects... But I also have a nasty addiction on Warcraft III which takes up a LOT of free time...

What I remember most is the endless bags of M&M's and 'kindersurprise' eggs we devoured... and the visits to the local snackbar and ofcourse the many Fairs we went to and extensively prepared for *grin*

Well I guess every MSX group had it's own weird 'rituals' at each meeting

Ours were just REALLY weird ...

'stacking Eric's car with +- 6000 nutshells'
'stacking Eric's car with Compjoetania members'
'laughing at Eric when he ran out of gas _again_'
'Putbrullen'
'Arranger: Sticker the neighbourhood frenzies'
'Putting bus-sign poles in garbage cans, and lying about that to the confused busdriver'
'driving with about 50Km/h from Zandvoort back to Brabant in an obviously broke car'
'Avoiding Marco, the insane driver'

MAN... all these things keep popping up in my head as I write them
Btw, NOP still has a lot of video footage of the earlier MSX fairs... maybe an idea to put some short ones online somewhere?

You are forgetting:
* terrorizing the neighbourhood with a NOP vs Compjoetania supersoaker fight
* Steegschreeuwen & Rioolrappen
* The who-eats-the-most-icecream competition
* Sitting in the bushes near Dave's house loudly imitating roosters and turkeys

The stacking of Eric's car with compjoetania members was fun though...there were more people ON the car than in it.

Hi Bart! Your '2-times a week' neighbour here. Nice to read some 'bout your history, because you were an acquaintance back then and now you're a close colleague/friend. I hope most ppl on this board can listen to your absolutely awesome konami & microcabin tunes on the arranger CD(s). The quality of your music has really improved a lot imho. Now make sure that your own compositions sound just as good I can hear - a few times per week - that you're heavily influenced and I think that's real good.

Japanese (alike) game-music rocks.

And thanx MOA ... Always good to hear your work is appreciated We'll keep cranking out new tunes 'till everyone gets sick of it

Btw, do you have some more (digital) video footage from MSX-fairs in the mid 90's?
I still watch those you already sent me occasionally to get a good laugh (especially the one in the Tilburg McDonalds is priceless!)
