| I've been using Paint Shop Pro to create palette-based graphics, it works nicely...
Although it doesn't support 9-bit RGB (not 12!) directly, you can always convert them.

I have used Paint Shop Pro 5 for that, and I can say that is better program for it. This version isn't high oriented to layers (although has layers of course). I create a MSX pallete in a 16 colour gfx (you only need that less significant bits was 0). For convert gfx with more number of colours you only have to put this image in 16 bit mode and with subs tool is changin colours to msx colours of image destinity and when origin image has only msx colours you can copy&paste to MSX image without problems.

Just create high color gfx, save em as a screen 12 image... and convert with compjoetania's screen converter to whatever msx screenmode you like!
It's one of our more usefull toolies (besides compass) ... at least I thought it was usefull ... but I'm no real coder, at least... I hate coding |

I've been bussy lately on converting GFX etc.
Came up with a online PHP screen5 viewer, and a reverser too.
I can get MSX-based GFX to load into the GE5.php converter and get it into JPG (including Zoom and Brightness function)
and I could make some stupid JPG/GIF/PNG thingy, parse it throught GE5.php and get a ge5 data file. Still have to be carefull about not using more than 16 colours. Been testing and testing but still not satisfied..
quess I'll stick to MSX DDgraph. And MSD sold me a new mouse so I finally am able to get that piece of soft working again. (by the way, also bussy making a TSR of DD-graph for our kernel... nifty, nifty!)
Oh, the viewer will be on display in a little while, be patient... (working on something here)
