Where did you order the MSX2? Maybe the person you bought it from still has it lying around somewhere?

crazy sub man!
I'd suggest vissit radioshack and have them custom make one for ya. (atleast if they don't already got a pre-fab)
Well you know the voltage know:
AC 100V (Japanese) 50/60Hz 23VA
Out: DC 9V, AC 18V
(thanx argon)
that should not be to hard. A 9 volt adapter comes in many shapes. just figure out which lead is which.

Hey Argon! Do you have the part number for that? It might be useful to know.

AC Adaptor FS-AA51
91-33660
IN:
AC 100V - 50/60Hz 23VA
OUT:
DC 9V 1.2A
AC 18V 170mA
Pinout:
_o_ ->DC9V
o_o ->AC18V -->ground
That's all that is available on the adaptor
But that should be plenty I guess ?

Yeah... This is horrible. I've been to tons of stores, visited both Sony.com and Panasonic.com with no luck, and Radioshack informed me that they can't make a plug for it. I joined a mailing list for the MSX, and I'll see if anyone has a cord to spare. |

You now know the voltages on every pin, you can make your own power.

I don't see this power connector on the connector FAQ of faq.msxnet.org...
Maybe it should be added ?
Who do I contact for that ?

I just added it, but please check it. How can you tell what pin is what? It's triangular, isn't it? You can rotate it and it still looks the same... Please let me know and I'll adapt it. |

Well, check the pictures I posted.
See the connector on the computer ?
The one lowest pin is the top pin on my pin layout "drawing".
So, my drawing is upside down compared to the actual connector on the computer.
Just rotate the drawing 180°
The pin layout at the computer connector:
o_o ->ground -->AC18V
_o_ ->DC9V
I will make a good picture of the text and layout on the adaptor when I get back home (now I'm at my father's home)
If you see the connector, it is impossible to connect it wrong, there's a gap on the connector so you can only connect it correctly.

What does -> and --> mean? Is that left and right, or right and left?

-> left most
--> right
