Well the diskdrive of my 8250 just went offline.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a spare 720KB floppy ? I saw the article in the FAQ about using PC disks and putting a jumper on pin 33/34. Can anyone tell me if they had problems with that solution ? (I am so NOT into soldering and making cables btw) |

I got my diskdrive from an Amiga500, it works just fine. So buy one a500, they're very cheap nowadays ,take the diskdrive and throw rest of the commodore away.

I actually do have an A500 that I'm not using. Gonna give it a shot, thx for the idea...
Although there is something seriously unholly about using CBM parts in a MSX |

You can replace it with a PC drive you know...
Check Hans Otten's tech website.

I did, but most of the articles of web site are offline (must be something with the new domain I guess). Anyway, I just did the replacement with my A500 disk drive. It works great. Ok it looks like shit (no front panel on the A500 drive) and it's kinda strange to hear skweeky A500 drive noise coming out of a 8250 but it works |
