Well, after I was born in the very good year of '75 I started at the age of 8 with a commodomoor. It disappeared very quickly when a Mitsubishi MSX 1 with 32 Kb RAM.
I still hate that amount of RAM cause all those wonderfull games on cassette had that little logo on the bottom that said: 64 Kb RAM.
So, after swapping the mitsubishi (I wish I still had that machine) for a philips VG8020 (If I'm correct) with 64 Kb RAM real life just started.
But.... the cassette player, with that wonderfull retro sound through that tiny little speaker, ended games up in checksum errors.
Again swapping the MSX for a philips 8235.... Guess what? Within weeks I had a philips 8245....
8245 with extra 128 Kb RAM (400 guilders at that time, whoaaah!!)
8250...
8250 with 2 diskdrives...
8250 with MSX 2+, 7Mhz, SCSI, etc..
Oh and in the mean time I joined Near Dark (Hello Meits), MGF & MCFN (Msx Club Friesland Noord) (Too bad you're not joining us anymore Klaas)
I did graphics for most Near Dark products (Jarretenk, D.I.S.K. (so cool), Near Dark 2 1/2 etc.) and product from MGF & MCFN. I also wrote for our disk magazine D.I.S.K.
I still remember those wonderfull days in Tilburg & Zandvoort... a boot with marihuana leefs all over it... 
Too bad everybody of Near Dark quit MSX. I still love that MSX machine... fuck amiga!!!

MGF, MCFN & Near Dark just globally did things together. I was more involved in Near Dark products!!

Hmm, dunno if we ever met !?! But the name does ring a bell. smart ppl are cool.. heheh. ah, well we had some good times right.
wasn't it you who had a spare msx monitor before? a few years ago I asked for it. dunno.

some say the dude on the left is me. thaz like not true. I look a bit like it okay, but iz no me (I think... hell, old picture hehe. dunno). the dude on the right is famous martin, while the guy in the middle is urhm, can't remember is name damnit. I know him but forgot his name. ah, too bad.

nope, Drachten does not own CityRights (stadrechten) so officially it's a village.
but then again, I would trade anything in the world to live there... Drachten is like dull as hell.. (been there, dun that) sorry dudes.. whoooaaahaaa..

Hell yeah!! Ro is very right!! I think Hell would be a better place then dr88  !! But the nicest thing with dr88 is the freeway to other cities!!!

i think the dude on the left is Dennis from UMF, but i can't tell exactly!
