The New MSX will be MSXPC and it will run with the MSX os from harddisk
it will be powered by a PIV core thats porerfull enough to emulate the MSX hardware you have to think about such machine when you want it to put onthe market it has to be the computer for a wide range of people like u and me if you can do allot with it then u have a sucsessor! and emulated chip set is easely upgradeble and has no boundaries wich we see on real msx hardware the only ting it needs are 2 cardrige slots or more for real msx hardware. thats all just a pc with some special Msx slots and a msx os MSX os + pc = MSXPC
and its even cheaper than building a new msx



but a real msxturbor is much better

so... why don't make a "turboMSXPC" ?

Hum... I don't think the new MSX should be PC compatible. For me, it is enough that it runs MSX software with some kind of MSX-DOS 3.0, a "MSX turbor overclocked" . However, it could have link availability with PC (LAN/USB connections) or something like that...

We shouldn't confuse the MSXPC and the 'new MSX', they have nothing in common. MSXPC is just a gadget, a PC with MSX-looks and MSX cartridgeslot with built-in emulator. It's a MSX promotional item, not a new MSX.

the new MSX shouldn't have 'msx' in it's name. Everyone links it to Microsoft, and there all still quite some anti-microsoft people, despite all the great things they did.

Eh? You're kidding right? MSX has nothing to do with Microsoft (except the Basic) since 1988. Of course a new computer should be called MSX.

It still has the name MSx. People will link it to microsoft.
