that 'msx' also had a lot of Sega hardware in it. It's not that easy.

Sega mastersystem uses a Z80, that's the only commonality with MSX. VDP, soundchip and memory system are completely different.
Sega's older SG-1000 console and SC-3000 computers are more MSX-like, and AFAIK a few of the games have been ported to MSX.

ah, then that's probably a cartridge that degrades the MSX to a power supply |

I'm pretty sure a cartridge like that never existed.
There was a Famicom (8-bit NES) 'converter' like that tho...

Hmmmm, I haven't seen it either, but stories about this SEGA hardware device on top of an MSX do come to my mind. There was something....

By the way, how many Sega games appeared for MSX?
It seems that most of them were produced by Pony Canyon. We could count also the games in tape format (Spectrum conversions).
I've never seen a complete (standalone) list.

If you make one, contact me, I'm planning to revive an old project of mine that could use a list like that.

I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall that Zemina in Korea made a Sega->MSX adaptor. I will try and find out...

Here we go:
Quote:
| 1) Family card (Very rare) : You can use Famicom soft in ZEMMIX or MSX system
|
But it is not a Sega adaptor
Zemina seems to have made a Famicom (Nintendo Family System) adaptor...
I think Sega consoles were already more powerful than Famicom, which would suggest that most Sega games are a bit too much for our poor MSX system
