IIRC, Nishi's uncle was president of ASCII and later he became president himself.

Actually, there is a site from Brazil with this project. (Unfortunately there is basicaly Portuguese books and magazines there... but there are some spanish magazines too...
He have a very large material there! About 25 books (entirely scanned - only portuguese), and about 100 portuguese (brazilian) magazines, and about 10 spanish magazines. (i didn't count them! those numbers are a guess, but it's something around it).
It is an outstanding source of information there...
A friend of mine have recently found an entire collection of a famous brazilian magazine called INPUT, that I was wanting to scan. Perhaps if I accomplish it I will send to that server.
They are all JPEG images.
Pretty good stuff.
