Damn, I think I'm the one on this forum that'll learn from the hardcore-MSX-veterans.....

I'm Emiel Thoonen, and I'm 20 years old. And I live in Haps. Haps, yeah Haps, fucking boring. I'm working with disabled people (gehandicaptenzorg, is zo kut uit te leggen in het engels) and playing in a punkrock band (www.4fridges.com).

I got interested in MSX when I was 9 years old, because of the Konami Games. My parents bought me a VG8235 and some konami's and off I go. When I was 12 I started making programs in Basic. I've made some text adventures and some silly text cartoons in the beginning. Later I was totally addicted to sprites. Making designs on Algebra-paper and translate them to Basic. When I went 16 years old, I lost a bit of interest in MSX, because of Girls and being a fake-ass rockstar/drunkass. Until last year, I was cleaning my room and I found my MSX! Now I'm totally addicted and want to learn about it!

So, this was my MSX history. I'm not very usefull to the whole MSX-community, but I like MSX and want to learn!

That sounds awfully familiar. Did you draw the sprites on that paper with the numbers 1-2-4-8-16-32-64-128 above the cells to calculate the number you had to put in with the sprite code? I did that a zillion times, till I found out how the sprite editor from T&E worked

Was there a sprite editor? :-~
I used paper with blocks on it, designed the sprite, and calculate the whole code... Damn...
