Hi,
Yesterday, I saw MSX2 in one of relatively old Arabic movies  I can remember that I saw lots of MSX in many Arabic series on TV.
For example A scientist working in his lab and he uses MSX to help him with his research, a fortune teller uses MSX to tell about future (that was really funny), a husband plays on MSX while his wife getting angry about him for not paying much attention to her.
It was always a grate fun to watch such movies and TV series (featuring) MSX.
Isn't that a proof that MSX used to dominate Arab countries
What about you guys? Did MSX appear in TV just as a home or personal computer?

It would be cool if some of these scenes could be MPG'ed or DIVX'ed or something!
In Holland, you'd occasionally see an MSX in a dutch tv-show, back in the 1980's.

An MSX Expert was commonly see in the brazilian humor show "Os Trapalhões",
and they appeared a lot in the novelas (soap operas) of the 80s.
They appear in japanese shows as well. For example, in the last episode of
the super sentai series "Dengeki Sentai Changeman", the evil plans stored
in the mothership computer of last boss was just a listing of some
graphic msx-basic program, full with DRAWs, LINEs ans CIRCLEs |

I saw the little kids from the dutch movie 'schatjes' or 'schatjes 2: mama is boos' playing athletic land from konami... (ofcourse on a msx computer)

Yeah, I remember this scene too. Couldn't see which MSX it was though. |

IIRC it was a philips VG8020 MSX-1 ... I probably know this because I used to own the exact same model when I watched 'schatjes' or 'mama is boos' at that time |

I once used an SD Snatcher song (MoonSound adaptation) as a gameshowtune in a Dutch Filmacademy short film.
(2nd year project, no-one will ever see it)

It was the Magazine " MSX-Gids". One of the last issues. I remember that too.

Yez, even I saw that brakke serie!! But indeed, now you mentioned it, every show they had the same mcm (yes, I think it was mcm not MSX-Gids.. but what the hell) on the table... like never replacing the magazine's and using the same over and over again..
