On the other hand it is a complete free game for someone who has not yet The LostWorld.

Yeah, that's another thing...
I never played TLW, because I was waiting for the moonsound version. And now, everyone buying Bombaman are getting it for free!

Isn't this EXACTLY what you were raving about in another thread, about games becoming freeware? You said people wouldn't buy games anymore, because in a few years it would become freeware anyway. And now you are doing exactly that!

I can't decide whether I'm being fscked over or what, but this whole situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

I can only agree with GuyveR800 here. I too am waiting to actually play The Lost World because there would be a Moonsound version later... And now it will be free to all people who haven't bought it in the past. I feel kinda... ehrm... how to say this quite politely and in English... impossible right now... 'genaaid'... sorry...

Back then, I also bought The Lost World and like GuyveR800, I have never played the game because I knew there was going to be a Moonsound version. I believe that back then, Sunrise promised the buyers that they would get a free Moonsound upgrade for the game.

I don't have any problems with Sunrise giving The Lost World for free with the new game Bombaman.

What I do think is that buyers of The Lost World shouldn't be forced to buy Bombaman to get their Moonsound upgrade for The Lost World. This Moonsound upgrade should be available to The Lost World buyers without any costs.

And one can never guarantee if one breaks it's promise ,
aBOUT FREEWARE . This is simply no freeware (TLW) cause it remains a copyrighted game so for every Bombaman there goes money to Umax , so it is a gift FROM US

And I think it's a great gift too! I think it is very cool Sunrise is giving TLW for free with Bombaman, as I stated above. I just hope that people who do not want to buy Bombaman and have bought The Lost World back then, can get the Moonsound update for free somehow.

Latok --- I think Sunrise promised the free update right here

Clear.

I wonder why Sunrise thinks Bombaman needs the extra promotion of giving away 4 (FOUR!) extra games with it, and that all for only 14 euros!

It's too early (or in january, too late) for Sinterklaas (or Christmas for the less fortunate), so why is it?

Or is 14 euros just the pre-order price and will the actual price be higher?

Sorry to go on a bit about this, but both snout & sunrise state that I should already understand that the Moonsound upgrade for TLW is free. Well, sorry, but I don't.
I should understand it by reading the following sentence, written by sunrise:

"Besides this I never mentioned any amount for updating , so no worry the update is free."

And indeed, in this sentence, I do read that sunrise states that they will not charge TLW buyers for their Moonsound upgrade. It is the NEXT line in sunrise original posting which should be read in relation to the previous one and which gives me my doubts. Here it is:

"On the other hand it is a complete free game for someone who has not yet The LostWorld."

Sunrise is weakening his previous statement with these words and I definitely can't read a 'YES' to the question if Sunrise is going to distribute a Moonsound patch for The Lost World, which will be available to The Lost World-buyers SEPERATELY from the Bombaman game.

Sunrise, don't kill me for asking once again, you have my apologies in advance for being so stupid like I am right now, but would you please answer the following question with a "yes, there will be" or a "no, there won't"?

"Will there be a free Moonsound patch for The Lost World-buyers, which patch The Lost World-buyers can get SEPERATELY from the Bombaman game?"

The answer is simply AYES for updating.
The words on the other hand is meant in relation to new buyers and not to updating.
Oh btw way. I will make new disks for everyone who wants to update.
As stated earlier at the fair there will be practically no time to spent for updating disks.
If people knew how Peter Meulendijks operates in this way. Meaning patching every lib.file
means 4 disks each. A waste of time during that day.
So please leave the disks at home

Thank you, sunrise. Looking forward to it! (still a bit curious how many disks you are going to bring and if you're going to put diskstickers on these disks)

how about putting them .LIB file online??
(you still need disk1 for the protection, so why bother)

ps. funny to see more ppl using the .LIB extension which, as I remember clearly, was started by us (FL) on the Kernel files. New trend here?

Dunno, it's probably the most logical way to go We use big .LIB files with Bomba too, after I complained to Arjan that all these small files Bomba consists of were killing my TR diskdrive
