Hi!

I am still working in my poor little SVI-738. It has 128 KB VRAM, PC disk drive, sound problem fixed, external reset button, and soon it will have a V9958 VDP.
But there are more things to do:

-MSX2+ ROMs, anyone with a SVI-738 MSX2+ could dump them? I need a working copy.
-Internal RAM. Any idea? Haven't seen nothing about this in Hans Otten's site.
-Second cartridge slot.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Is it worth to build the RAM slot selector (to switch between slot 2 and 3)? Does the image really improve with the RGB output?

Is it possible to run the Sunrise IDE adapter with only 64 KB of RAM? Or do I need a mapper and 128 KB at least?

I would like to have a kind of system-selection switch, to boot my SVI as MSX, MSX2 or MSX2+. It would be really cool to have 3 machines in one. And what about the 6/7 MHz kit? Would it be a good idea?

Is the RTC really used?

Ah! I almost forget: how can I clean the case and the keyboard? It has become yellow with the years... Is there any specific product or technic to recover its original colour?

Have not seen these for svi738 without RTC, send me a copy if you find it!

I have a svi738 upgraded to msx2, with roms not using the RTC, it works fine, but I also do not have a mapper so can not test all games etc. I do not know of 2+ roms modified to work without a mapper!

Maybe you can mail Hans Oranje and ask his help.

I don't know if it will work on the 738 case, but soaking them in chlorine for an hour or two cures yellowing on many computer parts.
