Instead of paying this overpriced piece of crap, I can buy those carts/games/tapes whatever for 1 Euro or less at any garage sale or at ebay and play it on my MSXes at home, or I can then download any Emu on PC and the rom and play it there and they are FAR better than any MSXPlayer crap from Japan !!!

DarQ is right about the japanese issue, as a collector I allready bought many PC Engine games from japan and it´s just no fun if you must have the PC online for some translation to play the game at all

If you think THAT is a revival, you should really overthink your sense of life on this planet !

And before I close this, I just wanted to appologize to those people that I have offended with saying the people of the msx scene are assholes .... I think most people here are fair and can judge wether something is good or bad, but a handfull of you can´t and those people should really consider visiting a psychatrist to get their life straight !!!

Just want to make clear that I would also react the same way if someone of the C64 Scene bashes a MSX (regardless which model) !!! It´s just disguting and should not be tolerated wether the C64 was in a not working condition or not !!!

I really considered stopping all my MSX efforts and leave (think many of you would like to see this, don´t you ?) but I´m not against MSX and the MSX scene at all ....

Also I hope someday there will be a REAL MSX Revival taking place but not in this form you say it´s allready happening right now

My MSX life (and my life in general) has massively changed because of the MSX revival, I can tell you that. And I've never even been to japan!

JUST as cool?? it's 100x cooler if i can follow the story and the dialogs. i don't believe you if you say its equal as cool. why are we waiting for a ICITY translation? because we can't play it decent.
are you serious if you say that a game is as cool when you can follow that very interesting story, as it is when you have no idea what the story is about? you must be kidding. if you're not kidding, you must be one of the few that do not care about a story.

Regardless which model, LOL... It wasn't a C64-II, it wasn't a C128, it wasn't an amiga, it was the oldest of the oldest...
And AGAIN, it was used to salvage a SID chip from. Demolished by hammer or remaining intact without a SID chip, it's pretty much useless either way!!!

A thing like this grows, from small to larger. You can't expect to first have nothing and then *BOOM* the stores are filled with MSX computers!

Yeah, just as cool as 10 years ago. Because 10 years ago there were no english translations of these games. 10 years ago everybody imported (or pirated ^^ japanese games from japan, and played them IN DAMN JAPANESE!!!

PFF, i wasn't born? i was already playing with the poke between my legs by then AND playing the games in japanese. But when i finally got the readable english versions, i played then again with much more joy, and i finally understood what the game is about.

seems to me you really don't care about the story of SD-Snatcher, which you CANNOT read of you cant read japanese and playing the japanese version.

I only played translated japanese games, except for xak,but didn't knew the story and knowing the story makes a game much nicer.
