i was wondering if someone has the cheat for spacemanbow which makes you invincible.
if you have could you plz send it to tturboma@hotmail.com. i would be happy if someone did.

I only know about the cheat where pressing SELECT skips to the next level.

SELECT? How 'bout pressing F4 when you die?

skipping levels helps a bit.. but i like to be invincible in the game.. (trying to over port the game to PC) or maybe you would know a program to extract all the graphics and music?

i love space manbow! i used to play it a lot on my real msx. i remember that pressing F4 would
warp you to the next level at any moment during the game. even just after you've been killed.

but aaarch, it DOES NOT work when i play it with openMSX. i was a bit disappointed when i started
playing again after quite a few years. it was very difficult!

That cheat is activated when changing one byte in the rom image. The unmodified rom image has that 'feature' disabled. Then it will work in any emulator.

OH, was it F4?!

YEAH, [F4]... how does anyone get the idea it's [SELECT] ?? or is that yet another freaky cheat??

The [Select] trick :

Start disk A with -Select- pressed down, for music.
Start disk B with -Select- pressed down, for a weapon menu.

And as far as I know [F4] is to skip levels

are you sure this is for space manbow ? because space manbow is a ROM, and a cracked version does fit on 1 disk

hah, since this doesn't work on any real Space Manbow cartridge. It's a feature of a crack Note that this cheat was once mentioned in MSX Gids, a Dutch MSX Magazine. It may have been Software Gids already at that time. But it was quite a blunder, I think.... Publishing a cheat that only works in a non-legal version... Wooo....

So, the solution is: modify your ROM image

Dutch MSX Magazines were loaded with cheats that only worked on cracked versions.

Maybe silly of me, to forget that Space Manbow is a Rom-cartridge,

but these are the cheats know to me, most cheat I know are for cracked rom-images,
though most of them you will not find on my site. Also know we know were the confusion came from.

Best way of playing those games (shooting games) is without cheats !

You have also legal cheating
Nemesis2 in slot 1 and having into slot 2 maze of galious or qbert gives extra possibilities e.g. that's why I donot understand that the USB-rom reader for MSX player doesnot have two slots , a pity !
