I'm busy to convert Fac Soundtracker files into the wonderful stereo Moonblaster format, but some songs are divided in 2, 3 or 4 Soundtracker files. After conversion, I have of course 2, 3 or 4 MBM files. Is there a way to get one single great MBM file ?

Interesting question tho.. I'd say it would be interesting (for mbm as well as mbfm/mbwave) since 76 or 80 patterns is really not enough for big tunes.. if each position has a unique pattern, and you use an average pop speed, then it's ~2.5 minutes what you get... not enough!

did you do a check on redundency of the FST patterns? you should filter equal patterns.. I did the same with conversion from FST to ORC and ended up having much less pats.

I think that's not the point.. if the FST song has 84 (was it 84?) unique patterns then there's zippo to skip..

Well, all Moonblaster sources are released by Remco Schrijvers at the MCCM-CDs, so if somebody wants to upgrade the code to enable more than 76 patterns... suit yourself.

Only thingie... what about the license? Is an upgrade of Moonblaster v1.41 still property of Sunrise? What is the legal status of Moonblaster?

AFAIK, it's PD (Public Domain). That means you can do anything with it you want.

Thanks for all your reactions ! 8)

I see now more clearly where the problem is ...

... But I'm not a programmeur !

So, I think that the MSX Community will appreciate a version 1.42 or 1.5 of Moonblaster !
