So, it is there. Finally. The international MSX Community have been waiting for it very long, finally Daniel Caetano and friends succeeded in bringing us the English translation of Snatcher (See: this newspost).

Now, what do you think about it? Was it worth the wait? Did you play it already? I for one would like to say: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat job!! Now we're finally going to find out more about Gillian Seed and friends (and enemies).

I have played it a while and it is great , I'm in the part were Gibson is decapitated ,
while running away for a timebom i was fragged by spiders ,
How do i fight back BTW !!!!! I was buttonbashing the S Key ( blaster ) but it didn't work ?

At some point metal gear talked portugese in stead of english , maybe a small bug ?
it was only 2 or 3 lines, then it was english again.

The translation is perfect ... even the humor when you hitting on mika or looking at her breasts

You can shoot spiders with your numeric keyboard. (LIke that Snatcher head smashing game in SD-Snatcher)

To shoot you neet to keep SHIFT pressed until you use numeric keys to select where to shoot. On the readme there are a better explanation.
About the portuguese phrase, that was a mistake. I made the english version over the portuguese one, replacing portuguese texts with Takamichi's... But there were some messages Takamichi had not translated from japanese to english, so I did it myself (japanese->portuguese).
That was one of them... and I had just forgot to replace it. (^=
I'm slowly playing the game again, verifing the menus, one by one. I found several glithces and I'm correcting them. Soon I'll release a new version with corrections... and maybe some new features. (^=
But you do not need to wait. No critical bugs found until now.... (^=

I did notice one text not translated yet. Don't say it wasn't translated by choice because of some lame competition like Oasis did with the SD-Snatcher translation. When you want to take for example the tissue sample from Gibson, you get the Portugese text.

There may be more texts untranslated, but I didn't get that for yet.

I wonder why it takes me longer to get through the factory when playing the English version compared to the original.

Hehehe... When I first finished the game, when I translated it into portuguese, I thought "Great Scott! This game is much better than I thought!"

Yes, I am playing it now on a msx emulator. Just great, in my MSX days I couldn't play it because of the japanese.

At the moment I am stuck in the game. I should call napoleon on the number 39-5644, but the vid-phone says it's a number that is not in use. I walked several times around, but it is not working. Anyone any clues ?

sega CD version is the best: they have cut some immoral things and the game has the complete plot

In a way I can agree.. The plot of the Sega Cd contains 3 scene's, where the Msx version only has 2 (but konami compansated it with the release of Sd-Snatcher).

The graphics however are somehow more brutal in the msx version (which is my opinion)

Nevertheless, I'm glad with this patch. I haven't started yet, but will soon...
