| unfortunatly the scc voices don't work with any emulator (even with a scc cart in port 1/2) so i can't do anything for the moment exept playin' with psg drumz
The author of bluemsx is workin' on to make blaffer nt compatible with his emulator, so i'm waiting

Did you try openMSX?
It works on a real MSX, so any emulator that doesn't support it is a BAD emulator |

Strange, what doesn't work with SCC Blaffer NT on openMSX?
I got it running perfectly here.
Did you add a -ext scc and which machine did you use? If you used the default machine (which is C-BIOS) it's not going to work. C-BIOS has no disk support (yet).

openMSx seem to b for cleva peepz... i'm pretty stupid...
i've downloaded some panasonic conf, and tried blaffer running with, don't remember, but a msx with a 512Ko boot screen from panasonic, SCC checked on (using the windows launch pannel catapult extensions) and blaffer gave me (as with other emulator) only the sound of psg channel when i play a song...
so... i might have done somethin' bad ???
openmsx is pretty messy for me so...
maybe u can advice me about some online conf to make it run with blaffer ???
thanks... |

First of all, configs don't come with the necessary ROM images. It's just the hardwareconfig.xml file which contains the machine structure and in which slots the rom image files should be loaded. The rom image files themselves should be located in the roms folder for the machine corresponding with the hardwareconfig. To make it more clear:
openMSX is for example stored in the openMSX folder. In this folder at least a share folder should be available. I'll set up a little tree below:
openMSX
openMSXshare
openMSXshareextensions
openMSXshareextensionsaudio
openMSXshareextensionsfmpac
openMSXshareextensions
am512k
openMSXshareextensionsscc
openMSXshareextensionsscc+
openMSXsharekeymaps
openMSXsharemachines
openMSXsharemachinesNational_CF-1200
openMSXsharemachinesNational_FS-4500
openMSXsharemachinesPanasonic_FS-A1
openMSXsharemachinesPhilips_NMS_8250
openMSXsharemachinesSony_HB-700D
openMSXshareskins
In each machine name folder there is a roms folder that should contain the rom images taken from that machine. Some extensions have that too, like the fmpac. If you have a dsk folder in your openMSX folder you can add the disk image containing SCC Blaffer NT in there. Then, you can start the program in openMSX with the following command:
openMSX -machine Philips_NMS_8250 -ext scc -diska dsklafnt.dsk
As you can notice the machine name should be identical to the folder name in the machines folder and the same goes for the extension.
I hope this helps

Thx...
So i did a bit wot u said... went to find the Philips_NMS_8250 config with romz (the panasonic config i've tried got rom too héhéhé), used catapult and said i wanna the SCC and lanched blaffernt... and only the psg sound when listenin' too the exemplez tunez...
So i did a stupid test : tried the same config with a demodisk from martos using SCC, this disk needz SCC plugged to play correctly the tunes... did one time without SCC ext, i get only psg, then did with SCC ext, and played so nice great konami's songz SCC polyphonix...
So... conclusion : blaffer nt don't like me coz he don't wanna play SCC to me even with openMSX... weird stuff |

it might be possible that SCC Blaffer doesn't find the SCC extension because it's not in a Konami ROM. You can try forcing SCC sounds through slot 1 or 2 by pressing 1 or 2 (don't know where to do that, but it might work in the editor).

The version available at http://teddywarez.cjb.net/ does have detection system that should work with an scc without rom.
By the way, you can use any folder name in the sharemachines folder for a machine. It doesn't have to be a Philips_NMS_8250 and you're required to have the rom images |

Use GRAPH+1 or GRAPH+2 to force the SCC through resp. slot 1 and 2.
(You should use this in the main editor)
To get used to the tracker further, use CTRL+H in any screen to pop-up the on-line help module
Then Blaffer NT should work just fine!
