Uhhm... just out of curiosity: what makes you think Bombaman is a puzzle game? In my (probably not so) honest opinion, it's a lot more an action game than a puzzle game (ratio 75%-25% or so).
Awell, you should just give the game a shot at Oss, I think/hope you'll be pleasantly surprised  |

Hehe, I was waiting until this remark came 
I see Bombaman as a puzzle game, sorry.
It's one with lots of action, but still a puzzle game.
But I guess that is my personal opinion
I played the promo and I liked it pretty much.
But fear not, IF I come to Oss, I will certainly buy it.
I encourage all new MSX developments

Knowing the graphic designer and all (well, in fact I know everyone of Team Bomba, hihi) I already had a chance to see the intro demo and I have to say that I was really impressed. And the final game is much better than the promo version indeed!

this is an action game inside a labirynth
ok, the player has to THINK a little to play well, but we cannot categorize this game a puzzle only for that
tetris, super puzzle fighter, flappy stones and the castle are puzzles. bomberman require much more reflex than thinking
putting bombs in a chain reaction or avoiding being trapped with your own bomb are basic actions. these actions are not planned enough to make this game a puzzle
long live the PC Engine Bomberman! The best of all! m(__)m |
