Becours there are some trouble whit tilburg fair.
Why do'nt we start a new msx fair in the east of the country?

Like instead of tilburg fair?

or on a other date?

It's january right now. Oss has just passed and Tilburg has yet to come. How about checking out Tilburg in April and then see if we need a "new" fair or not?
You're a bit ahead of schedule I think

Since Tilburg is confirmed I have no doubts Sunrise goes.
And I sent the formular already to them.
Being ahead cannot harm , however. The doubts from me concern all coming fairs after Tilburg. Bussum 2004, there are possible standholders that doubt to go.
Oss 2005 (new location ?) , Tilburg 2005 is also ? because they gonna look from year to year and that makes people unsure if it will be held.
Since Tilburg has no longer the status of a fair what it was for years and seen as an international fair too you had to consider an extra fair with an international character.
Therefore there is a need for knowing if the fairs can /will be held at the times we used to.
Planning a new fair and organize it as well needs people and the knowledge when fairs/meeting will be held

How about a msx fair in Almelo again like in the old times 8)

Bussum will, ofcourse, be held again.

If tiburg fair will be not cool . then I think this is the best idea for a cool msx fair . I have ask msx frends of myn and the will help .

Sure but I heard definetly the the doubts in OSS as well about hesitating standholders.
For me there is no hesitation if a fair is announced in time.
But if this kind of hesitation becomes for all the coming fairs a habit it will mean the death of all fairs. If standholders think so, what would be a vistors reaction in advance.
So therefore my apply to make a clear calendar, so if you can state a date soon would be pretty what is valid for OSS and Tilburg next year in order to held an extra fair.

Do they think MSX will be dead? Or do they think Bussum won't be organised? WHY?!

I can only imagine they do not like the location of Bussum as much. But, frankly, I think it's a -lot- better than the current Tilburg location. I have enjoyed myself a lot @ Bussum the past years, and of course the MRC will be there in 2004 as well!

Location is one , but grauw already asked me that also. I prefer also another location, but that doesnot mean I wouldnot go
That MSX is dead or not is not the issue I believe.
Some mention the costs for travelling in connection with visitors they see and as said forSunrise no doubt. And if this standholders with doubt hesitate you will find the hesitation to go to every fair.
Face it MRC isnot sure to go Tilburg. All this hesitation leads to negativism also for potential visitors
In all this there is a keyrole for the organizers !
As said an extra fair with international character( I mean inviting Japanese people and also spanish e.g. ) would be nice.
Although I appreciate your initiative Zett I wonder if Almelo could be that place !

Bussum has always had international visitors..
A few years ago there was Matra from spain.. In 2003 the MSX Association from japan visited Bussum. And I think I'm missing some

Also this location has huge advantages... Movie room, live internet connection, etc...

It's very simple. If people want the Bussum fair to stop because it is financially not feasible anymore, or because of a resulting drop in visitors, it's their choice not to come. But IMHO I don't think there is the luxury to be picky.

It is hard to find a big location for an affordable price, so this will probably be the place were Bussum will be held for a while, also because I don't feel like going through the hassle of finding a new location while I think the current one is quite ok for its purposes. I will try to arrange for usage of the big hall this year, but I 1. don't know if it can be arranged, and 2. don't know the amount of extra costs it will involve. At the least it will surely make things more expensive, and as everything also fits without using it, it might be somewhat of a waste. Especially knowing that this year I cut it quite closely...

Travelling costs is quite a nonsens argument if you ask me. Of all the fairs, the Bussum fair is located most in the center of the Netherlands and therefore easiest reached for everyone. Oss and Tilburg are both located quite closely to eachother in the southern parts of the Netherlands, this is nice for some people but for some others it is far from an ideal situation.

Anyways, I don't want to hear another negative word about Bussum . Unless it's feasible and constructive criticism/feedback about how things might be improved, ofcourse ^_^.

Grauw that isnot my point , but I try to be a kind of messenger of what I heard.
But we have to deal with it, unfortunately.
And for Sunrise it is oke , donot get me wrong. But if those people does it you have a negativism to all fairs coming also , that is what we have to stop.
