I have got a question for you [but I already know the answer]:
What was the most distributed SEGA game for 8-bit systems? I could help you a bit: it was distributed world-wide but never sold.
I'm finishing its MSX version and a beta version will be published VERY soon.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World ?
It's built in in the 2nd revision of the Master System, but I think it was sold seperately before that.

COLUMNS was a cartridge also...
And this game wasn't ported to MSX yet!

yes there's an MSX version of Columns, simply called Columns. (c) 1990 Sega, developed by Telenet.
