| Fragment from the BERT bios source code.
If I remember correctly the D0-D7 io ports gave the conflict.

| How kan i get the normal prompt 'a:' and turn the Yen-symbol off ?
|
By loading a European font set. Which reminds me, while I was in Japan Bernard Lamers showed me an awesome font tool for the turboR. Maybe we can host that one @ MRC some day... |

| Better use a different interface on Turbo R if you can get your hands on it. The bert interface very very slow
|
I want to buy the IDE interface from sunrice and put inside a memory stick. So I can use my games.
I think I will plan this next month, because i just bought a turbo-r and (this one wass for me expensive for one month).

The only thing you need to know is that by contacting Hans Oranje www.hansoranje.nl your bert/turbo-r problem can be solved.

Indeed.. Don't worry about 30-37 or D0-D7 whatever, it's not of your concern.

The font tool can be downloaded at the following URL:
web.inter.nl.net/users/A.P.Wulms/Mccm/mccm76/mccm76.lzh
After unpacking, copy the files PATTERN.COM and STANDARD.CHR (this file resides inside the FONTS.LZH archive, which is obtained by unpacking MCCM76.LZH) to your SRAM disk. Next, you have to add a line like:
PATTERN STANDARD
to your AUTOEXEC.BAT. After resetting, your yen symbol will turn into a backslash.
Actually, PATTERN even allows you to use a greek or russian font (or braille ) as your default font. When using PATTERN on a MSX turbo R, the font installed by PATTERN will also be displayed in KANJI mode 1 and 3. Russian mixed with Japanese is quite funny to see.
An short Dutch manual of PATTERN is including in the MCCM76.LZH file. An explanantion in Dutch about the the Z80 DRAM technique used by this program can be found at :
