I think bad journalism is more likely than konami bundling the NES version!

It's very likely that NES version is used, because GC is Nintendo...

It's similar.

But Kojima only worked in the MSX version. The NES version was made by a different team, and the differences are obvious. It is a good game, but it doesn't have the allure of the MSX original.

I tried playing it.. (the NES version) It's different in gameplay, gamestorie, playability (it sux hard) and ofcourse the GFX and Musix are totally not like the original. I can honestly say that the NES MG is crap and has got nothing to do with the original. It's a shame Nintendoos put the NES MG in twin-snakes.....

Who has confirmed the NES version will be in? Because NES and GameCube are both made by nintendo? I don't think that's a reasonable conclusion. Who can confirm what version will be on the disc? ...I'll buy it nevertheless

So my conclusion is: the bonus disc with the Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes is Metal Gear 1 - the MSX version.

You're right on that one. I played the NES version also and it sucked when played the MSX version also!

My all-time favourite game: MSX2 Metal Gear.

I prefer it to MSX2 Solid Snake, and any other version in any other computer or console. The playability and originality of that game has never been achieved later, in my humble opinion. Even MSX2 Solid Snake was just improved graphically, with SCC music, 4 megas, etc ... it still had the magic, and I died for playing the game when I first saw it in a Spanish MSX magazine, it was very good, but not that good, not the same playability and the speed in an 3,5mhz MSX ...

NES version was an unfortunate movement from Nintendo.

Don't get me wrong, I paid 180 euro for MSX2 Solid Snake!
