Once Sargon (Rieks) collected the maps and published via MSX-NBNO the total solution of PAIII. And also I must have those in a special ordner somewhere.
What are you exactly looking for ...

Yup, I did. The complete solve was published on our Guide through Gameworld 2 as well, which is theoretically still available. But it doesn't contain the maps, though. MSX-NBNO was indeed the publisher and you can find them at almost every Dutch MSX fair, or you can contact Mari directly via the MSX mailinglist.

By the way, Rob, is the Moonlight Saga Sunrise released the English version or still the Japanese one? I remember long discussions about the implementation of English texts which gave troubles or something. How did this story end?

Hehe.... Why is it that when somebody calls himself 'MrBlonde' nobody says ''hey! Michael Madsen! I loved Reservoir Dogs", yet when one calls himself "snout" everybody thinks there is a BCF connection? Inside info: Latok has no connection whatsoever with Microcabin.

I had (unfortunately?) nothing to do with BCF or the snout demo's, apart from being a big fan just like most Dutch MSX Sceners. You can find the BCF discstations, and thus all Snout demo's and more funny stuff right here. Enjoy!

And if you can't get enough of it: there's always http://www.snout.com/ or http://www.snout.nl/

By the way, I was a musician of Flying Bytes in the old days, now got hands full of work on the website you're looking at right now. More info? over here!

I don't know if I can still retrieve the original textfile. Like I said, it was published on Guide through Gameworld 2, but for the sake of the text routine, the text was crunched and I don't know how to decrunch it. Of course you can always order a copy of GtG2 (which hasn't been made freeware or downloadable - yet).

That's bullshit rieks.Defender and GTG 1 used crunchers.
The text-files of GTG2 however are as asci text files on the disc.
Still the text files contain some codes for the layout stuff.
Okay 100% nice it isn't still it's quite well readable and ussable.
Since I was the main author of the text. I took the freedom to send Maarten the raw text straightly taken from the GTG2.

Is that so? I didn't even remember. It's such a long time ago. I simply assumed the texts were crunched in order to be displayed in the textroutine properly. I even forgot the PA3 solve of GtG2 was yours, not mine. Mine was published by MSX-NBNO only.

But no matter, since you already sent the desired file. Which I will tolerate for this time Although Sargon isn't as lively as ever, the texts contained in GtG2 are timeless and are on purpose not yet made freeware. I would appreciate it if you at least contacted me about sending GtG2 material to others. And if one is really interested in a GtG2 text, the product doesn't cost more than 3 euro iirc.

Hmmm, while digging through old MRC forum topics I found this one. I think there are more people who should let us know what they think now of the MSX products in the past. Are you still proud or deeply ashamed?

That's one helluva kick Snout

For some of my stuff I'm ashamed, but I'm proud of most of it

Most proud I am of Pixess (Most ambitious project I worked on, graphics, music and level design) ... And least, hmmm tough one, probably would be Cybersound (first of all it had the tempo bug when you didn't start in 60Hz which was not my fault though, and it has too many songs that sounded similar to eachother which is kinda my fault )

I've made nothing I feel ashamed off, since each product presents a certain point in my 'career'. I do think i could have done a lot better, with the experience I have now. See the snowfall challenge demo, in the nineties I would never have been able to draw such a picture on MSX.

in my case it's also not really 'ashamed' just gradations of 'least proud to most proud' ^_^

I saw this thread and started digging a bit on my old MEP CD's to see if I could find the stuff I made in the past. Well, since I actually didn't make that much myself it I spend most of the time of getting that old CD working again, in stead of actually searching, but that is beside the point.

First of all a game wrote a long, long time ago. It was called "Vallende Sterren" and the listing was published in MSX-Info when I was 12 (18 years ago, yeah.. I am getting old). Well, the game was very, very simple.. but it still plays quite nicely though
Later on in Fony I made some ProTracker music for various productions:
Tocatta & Fuga by Bach, which was used in FDD#2: I must say it still sounds quite nice
End-Tune of Eggbert: Sounds quite boring if I listen to it now...
I also made the FDD #2 Promo Demo (http://www.file-hunter.com/fdd2prom.html), except for the graphic though. Completely basic, except for the ProTracker Player. Well, I still like the song (which I "coppied" from an Amiga demo), the rest simply suxx
For the rest I did nothing worth mentioning for Fony Except for running the BBS and supplying files (hence my nick)
I must say I still enjoy FDD#1 and FDD#2 though. Makes me remember the meetings we had, brainstorming about these demo's Those good old days!
