Got any of you guys got some audio cd from microcabin ?
I'm searching for the audio cd of the following games:
-Illusion city
-Fray
-Princess maker
-XAK1,2 & 3
-Tower of gazzel
-and all other CD's from microcabin

For some reason microcabin CD's seems to be vanished from the face of the earth !, i'm looking for it.

what was on the cd ? arranged/orchestrated versions, or the authentic fmpac/psg versions?

For so far I remembered it was a recording from the original FM/PSG sound, but i could'n care less becasue i like all versions of the microcabin musics.

I already got the XAK 1,2 & 3 and fray games on the PC-Engine, and they sounds perfectly !

Do you got any msx game audio CD ?

I heard the sound track of Xak 1, and it sounded like the original FM/ PSG. You might look on E-Bay from time to time...

Sometimes people offer some rare MSX materials there (I know a guy who bought an original Aleste 2, Space Manbow and the soundtrack of Xak at E-Bay...)

Why don't you search for the .kss files???? They represent the original fmpac/scc music and with the msx plugin you can hear them in Winamp on your PC.

Quality is great...

I have the original music files from microcabin, but don't know the build up of the files to make a player !?!?!
Got a player for MSX offcourse.

just go to 'search the MRC' and search for KSS within msx.org you find everything in the archive: links to plugins for winamp, ftp dir with a lot of .kss files and there is even a KSS Player for Windows with a awfull lot of konami music!!!

I have the original soundtracks of Xak 1 and Xak 2/Fray (the latter is on one CD). If you're interested, you can always do me an offer, but as I recently bought them (in Japan) for quite a lot money, I do expect you have to come with a good offer...

No, I'm sorry, I myself paid about 45 euro each to get them and I surely won't sell them for less...

Ok,but before i 'll think of raising my offer, i first want to know more about the two cd's.
How many tracks are on the CD, what kind of numbers are on the cd ?
From what system are they originated, MSX, PC88,pc-engine. etc.etc.
Are they single or double cd's ?
Maybe some picture's of the cd to tveenstra@adimec.nl

I never found any Micro Cabin originals unfortunately...now I only own several Konami collection CD's, about every CD released by Falcom that has 'YS' in the name, all the Final Fantasy albums and Metal Gear albums.

As they were quite expensive in Japan as well and I have been searched for them for quite a long time, I can very well say that they are rare in the country of origin, Japan, as well.

But about the CD's... Xak 1 contains 42 tracks (every song that's in the game) and I think it's the original soundtrack of the PC-Engine version. I say I think, as I haven't played that version, but it sounds PC-Engine to me.

The same goes for Xak 2, there are in total 51 songs on the CD, of which are 43 taken from (I think) the PC-Engine version (and these are all the songs in the game), 2 are arranged versions of the title and the forest theme (these are really good actually) and the rest (6 songs) are from Fray (and I must say I have the impression that these are the MSX FM-Pac versions).

I think we have to talk, i see that you got PopfulMail and xak in your list !, very interesting !

P.S. In terms of illegal, if it isn't possible to obtain the original cd a temperary mp3 rip isn't so bad, i prefer the original cd.
