Alternative versions of Konami games?

I was just wondering that did many of Konami's games have different European releases. Like there is two different versions of Game Master and Penguin Adventure at least, one in normal and one in small box.
Here's picture of my two different Penguin Adventure users.evtek.fi/~k0100981/hal/pengu.jpg
Does anyone have any other Konami game in two different european packages?

And for a bonus here's couple scans from Spectravideo 728 ad I have:

That last image seems corrupt...

Anyways, ofcourse most of them konami-games themselves are multi-language, depending on whether you put it in a European or Japanese MSX computer... Though I guess Metal Gear is an exception. But you probably know that.

Btw, some games have even more versions than Jap/EU only... Vampire Killer for example has multiple European versions. Some with bug, some without , but the cartridge (and box?) also differs, one version has a sticker like the left penguin adventure on your picture, and another has a full colour picture label, like the right penguin adventure.

Yep.. I bought Vampire Killer at Dixons, and got the one with the full color picture label. It randomly crashed on my NMS8250. So I returned it and got a working version, but that was the boring text-only label.

As for F1-Spirit, I have the small package for that. The large one was sold out at that time and I had it ordered. Maybe it was at the V&D, I'm not sure anymore... At least I ordered one other game at the V&D which was sold out, and that was Q-Bert (to play with Nemesis 2). I had to pay 74,95 for it and then 2 weeks later they had a whole bunch of Q-Bert's on sale for 24,95!!!

Wait a moment... different european versions means different ROM code ?
In other words, Konami released cartridges with fixes ?
And who can describe what exactly they fixed or added in this or that game ?
For example, what was fixed in Vampire Killer ?

That is interesting. I remember that I once saw the first Metal Gear disk version in Ebay. Someone can confirm it's existence?

I had totally forgotten Soccer/Football, I used to have both but traded away the soccer.

As I said, the older version crashed on a NMS8250. Supposedly there are no problems on other MSX types (like Sony's).
All in all there are 4 versions of Vampire Killer code released. How many of those have been released in europe is unknown, but at least 2.

LOL, yes, but you have to keep in mind that there were no copyright laws in Korea at that time.
So Zemina was NOT doing anything illegal
Later (by the end of the MSX era) Zemina started publishing licensed games in Korea. (I think then also copyright laws were introduced )

Never heard of such thing, I think it must have been a fake.
Not so long ago there were 2 Konami MSX tape games for sale on eBay. Those were fake too.

I think that Konami did release MSX games in tape format. AFAIK, there was a tape game distributed with the MSX Magazine or something like that. I saw it once in a full-Konami list in a japanese site. Do not remember more details...
