Hey,
I'm wondering in anyone knows of any adventure games for MSX that are in English (or at least playable with little Japanese knowledge). By adventure, I'm talking about text /graphic adventures similar to games like Zork, Shawdowgate, Scott Adam's games, etc... I downloaded Haunted House 666 and thought that was pretty cool, but I was hoping there might be some older Japanese games similar to that.
Thanks,
Kevin

There were a lot of english text adventures. Several amateur ones too, which were still pretty good.
Also Snatcher, Konami's famous text+graphic adventure was recently translated to english.
There are graphic adventures (point and click) for MSX too, like L'affaire, Zoo and a few others.

Thanks for the info everyone! I'll keep my eyes open for any Level 9 stuff. Also, GuyveR, what is this Zoo game? I can't seem to find any info about it. Was it a UK release or a Japanese release?
Thanks,
Kevin

It was a dutch release. Made by dutch softwarehouse Radarsoft (also known for their C64 adventures)
I have no idea to which countries outside of holland it was distributed... But as far as I know MSX2 games generally weren't available in the UK at all.
