I've programmed a Coleco Vision emulator for MSX1/2 about 8 years ago.
I had never time to finish it, but it can already play some of the coleco vision roms (I donwloaded those from mame emulator pages). Like Frogger, Lady Bug, Smurfen and other games never published for MSX.

The tool comes with a player, which basically loads an "original" rom file, does some real time patching in memory and starts the game.

Things not finished are: some keys are not emulated, e.g. some games start with "press 1 for 1 player" and "press 2 for 2 players", but 1 and 2 are not emulated, so you can never continue. Also sometimes the background music does not start.

If somebody is interested in the run-time and assembly files (Flash), please let me know.

Note: Since Coleco Vision also has Z80 3.57Mhz, the emulation runs on the same speed as original Coleco Vision

It would be very interesting to see how things are done to do any emulation. Please send them to bifi_at_msxnet_dot_org.

So, why not make it a 'converter' instead of an emulator?
Anyway, do you know about the other Coleco Vision emulator, made by Marcel de Kogel? It's also very old, but maybe that the combination of your methods can yield a better emulator!

Anyway, please put your stuff on a website or so! It would be very interesting to try it or look at the code!

Sounds similar to Marcel de Kogel's Mission emulator. It also emulates Coleco Vision.
