Okay, so far I've counted 1 Negative for 12 Positives... I'll let this 'poll' go on for a bit more, but if things stay like this I guess I can safely assume that 'mouse only' software will not be a problem for most of you  |

Yes.. NEOS made a mouse and a drawing program and then marketed it as NEOS Mouse and Cheese.

(or weren't they the same ? )
I also remember that there were ads in MCM about drawingprograms with 100000+ colors .. I never really worked with them .. was it just the ol' raster trick in screen 7 or something ? Even then.. 16x16 combinations.. for 2 pixels would be 256 colors.. Even for 4 pixels (2x2) it would be 16^4 = 65536 colors.. anybody more info on this one ? |

Dude... NEOS was a well-known japanese MSX company. They also made the MSX1 to MSX2 upgrade kit. (Slotexpander with external VDP at port 88h, memory, roms, etc).
You could buy their products from Salasan (advertised in MSX Info).
