| Okay, so far I've counted 1 Negative for 12 Positives... I'll let this 'poll' go on for a bit more, but if things stay like this I guess I can safely assume that 'mouse only' software will not be a problem for most of you
|
indeed, i have the mouse required (or emulator) but i hate using the mouse we must get rid of the mouse IMO. |

I wish there was a proper graphic tablet of touchpad for MSX...
Contrary to most people, I actually like those notebook touchpads.. they should be a little bigger tho.

I have a mouse (and a chicken, hihihi) and a touchpad from philips, which isn't bad with the right software (which almost doesn't exist, ofcourse)

I also have a mouse, a philips one, and a philips drawing board, you know it, a big touchpad with a pen. I've used it just once and now it's rotting away. But hey it counts as a mouse too i suppose |

| Hey all, just a quick poll here... Do you have a mouse for your MSX system? YES/NO
|
Yes, I have several mice but I never use them. Why should I?
By the way, are you gonna make your decision based on these few answers? |

Yes I am, and already have... This little poll shows that out of about 25 people only one didn't have a mouse. For me this is a more than acceptable audience. The target area for my projects are probably the same as the average MRC user, so I guess I can more or less asume that 90% - 95% of potential users *could* use the project if they wanted to. About 5% - 10% may not want to use the product because they don't much appreciate mice, this however is by choice and therefor I don't concern myself with it.
I'm currenlty working on two small projects that really require a mouse. One of the *could* be used without a mouse, though uncomfortably... The other -if I do get around to making it- simply *MUST* be controlled by mouse, anything else just wouldn't be feasible. Since making a good keyboard interface for the first project would require a lot more work (I'd hate to make a lame keyboard-controlled mouse-pointer) I wanted to see if it was really necessary. It would appear that it is not. Nearly everyone here seems to have a mouse, so if they *want* to check the little thingy out they *can*....
If they don't feel like it (and I must say I was very surprised to see that some people don't seem to like mice or see any use for them) than that's fine too... I just wanted to know if demanding a mouse was an unreasonable system requirement. It appear not.
Thanks all, for your input... |

Happy weekend!

I have that Arkanoid 2 thingy.. I guess it's 50% of a normal mouse, since you can only move left/right ..
tho, a 2-mice game could be PONG |
