OKay.. so the Bombaman manual could have been done earlier, but it's not like the manual is essential to be able to play the game...It's a shame that RoA and TLW Moonsoudn were never finished, but the same goes for Micro Mirror Men, The Final Future, Operation Damocles, Extacy, Strategic Army, Core Dump and many other games of that time that were unfortunately never finished.

It would be nice to hear a bit more about the progress, I agree on that one, but Bombaman is a cool game, the manual is not essential, just an extra, and although some things could have been done better, Sunrise is not solely responsible for the decrease of activity of MSX developers. The developers themselves are to blame. So, lighten up a bit and be glad that the current MSX community allows a release like Bombaman to be created, released and enjoyed. That manual will arrive sooner or later.

Sure, it's all understandable..
But it's ALSO understandable that users are asking about promises in stead of silently waiting.
That's all I said, no critique about the manual being late or anything. Just explaining why people are asking about it.

Just some loose ends:

- there's a manual in PDF format on the Bombaman CD already, so it's not that essential to have a paper version, just a nice extra.

- we didn't have a set deadline for the manual at Oss yet, so we couldn't tell when it would be ready at that time.

- about keeping people informed; there's not much to be informed about if there's no certainty . Sure, we could have posted things about it earlier, but then we probably would have made vague promises we couldn't keep, and nobody would be happy with that. I received a few questions about the manual by mail or IRC, and they got answered. I still think that this post isn't the proper way to get your info. Unless you wouldn't mind me starting a new topic about TVSP and asking all ins and outs about it? ....

- Situations and plannings change all the time when dealing with third parties, so it's very hard to say something definitive about these things and sticking to a planning. I got word about the final things of the manual just this tuesday night, so it's not as if we finished everything 3 months ago already and just decided to be lazy until now... We do have other things to do, we did have to spend some time on the update, and all of this is done in our free time. So, there's a lot of factors that make planning and arranging these things hard. If I had things my way, the manual would have been ready at Oss! Oh, and if people think they can do better, prove it

- the 'blame one person' is mostly an inside joke that got outside the team a bit too often. Awell, every team needs its scapegoat

Sure there is a manual in pdf format on the CD. We already found out it's not complete. For example the special item isn't explained (though it was mentioned). How could anybody outside from IRC (where it was explained, after someone asked about it) know what the special item looks like, let alone what its function is?

BiFi, the special object's purpose is explained on page 3 of the manual.

For those of you who are working on the manual, remember that it should fit into the DVD box.
