About a psg tracker: someone ought to make a moonblaster/mbwave/mbfm player that plays directly to the psg.. in that case it's up to the composer to use 3 square waves as reference sound. Making such a player is less work than a whole new tracker ^^;

I want more SPEED. and it would be nice if it's possible to connect a drawingboard to the RS232. although we can connect it, but there are no utils or drivers to use them

I'd like to see an ethernet card on MSX.
So you can add your MSX in a home network, or make use of an Internet broadband connection. In that way it should be easy to exchange files, check email, chat on irc, play multiplayer games on internet. (E.G playing bombaman with ppl in four different country's! )
I hope Sunrise is able to finish their ethernet project! |

I put this text in other forum thread, but it's related to the question of this thread:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to see a professional MSX magazine again. Since the disappearance of MCCM in The Netherlands and Hnostar in Spain there has been a long "unprinted" silence. Of course a new professional MSX magazine should be published in English.
Most of you will say: "Why a new MSX magazine when we can find tons of MSX related news in the Net?"
Well, the information in Internet is highly volatile; don't expect to find something that is in the Net today 10 years later. A printed magazine, contrary, is forever.

I too vote for a BombamanNet. How to lock you opponents the fast way
with a few 1000 km between them... |

well, perhaps an idea for MRC to group a month of news-items and create some magazine-style PDF of it.. with a cover etc.
hmm. lotsa work indeed |

i wireless msx single NET, is too easy (for guys than got time for do this)
simply, conect a IR LED, to the MIC output, and a IR sensor to the EAR input, is too easy, because the voltage match, so, only is needed a little 390ohm 1/4w resistor, the LED, and a IR sensor with AMP like any TV set got (the same got 3 connections, GROUND, +5V, and IR output than can be connected directly to the MIC input)... so, all can be mounted in the wire, and you can comunicated multiple msx in wireless mode)... The most complicated is create the comunication protocol, and a simple game for test on multiplayer (like PONG on net).

several items that you comments already exist on mnbios, so i are developing more faster....
like, a sound tracker: mnbios got in his core, a tracker, with CALL / JP capabilities, so you can do a call or JP to musical sentences, increasing the duration of a song...
for support multiples chips, you can mount a driver (supporting only the I/O basic functions), that allow to play on several chips at same time. And got space for expand purposes.
a NOTEPAD: That is the first aplication than i want to write after finish the msxcommand.exec. Is very easy to do, and you see how fast is the mnbios windowing system. You can execute several times the same aplication to open several text, that is a kernel structure fact.
a game developer tool : well, mnbios born as a game developer and aplication tool..
a good soccer game, that is in my list of things to do..

Don't overload yourself. but if you can't stop developing, I like to have a driver for the calcomp drawingboard. |

This is a drawingboard used by caddesigners and it's very accurate , I've used this thing in the years I workt with Autocad.
It communicate via the serial port (RS232) |

For me, MSX needs:
1) An improved operating system.
2) A true C compiler (and if its user inteface is Compass-style, much better).
3) USB ports.
4) Applications for InterNestor *ite :-P

I got awesome results using Uzix Internet applications. It would be nice to see programs for INS also. |

Speed....MSX lacks speed...
I think a new msx board with an eZ80 @50Mhz and a faster vdp would increase the software development.
Okay...and some more colors, VGA-output for connetion with my TFT-monitor
For € 200,- or less I would buy a new MSX if it's powerfull enough.
How are you guys feeling about this..
edit: and a USB-interface...but speed it most important ..and the most difficult part I
think. |

Speed, a multitasking OS and an ethernetcontroller.
