yeps, another Forum topic by me...
Is there anyone here (in The Hague) that can help me fixing up my Sanyo Wavy 70FD2.
The original power supply was taken out and replaced by an external power supply.
I need to replace the power supply again, since that one died (again).
For this I need, a powersupply (already have an MSX 1 here that should work (right?), preferably the service manual to know what pins to solder on the mainboard for the correct voltage.

Why don't you trace back the lines from a fixed point on the mainboard? You can just look for the 5V+/GND etc from a fixed point like a cart slot or the drive connectors. On a normal MSX, you'd have GND on pins 41 & 43 of any slot, 5V+ on pins 45 & 47, 12V+ on pin 48 and -12V (not sure if it's required) on pin 50... Just trace them back to where ever the crap they go... Like I said, alternatively you could do this from the drive connectors too. GND should be pretty easy to spot by the way... If not go to Tilburg... I'm sure there's someone there who'd be willing to help you out. Should't take more than 30 minutes... Anyways, good luck...

Note that this is only true for MSX computers that have a seperate AD/DC convertor. (Sorry, just had to put it like that ; ) For instance the Turbo-R has its own on-board AC/DC convertor. I just whacked what ever the hell it was in the darn thing and it worked. Imagine I used an amplifier transformer to put in the computer. I think the darn thing gave like 36-0-36 volts AC. (No /DC ) So, I don't really know which type the Sanyo is. I've tried looking on the net, but no info on it... If you can, please check on the mainboard to see howmany pins the original power connector had. If there's any text written on it please jot that down and post it here too...

Oh, and just for kicks... I was looking on the net to find anything on the darn sanyo and hopelessly failed. I did find the following from an old MSX gids tho:

Bare in mind that the original PSU was taken out and replaced with an external one....
So I have no clue what pin is for what voltage... (hey, I'm the type of guy with 2 left hands in this kinda material...)
