Good that you are happy ! openMSX has some unique features that are really nice. I have other requirements on an emulator so for me blueMSX is better. But it all depends on what you are doing. Good that you found what you are looking for and I'm sure that openMSX will get even better.

Dvik puts a lot of efford and hard work into BleuMSX and I think he deserves a lot of credit for making the emulator. openMSX is a great emulator... but to be honest for my parents I installed blueMSX simply because it's faster and easier to use for them. BlueMSX is really a good emulator and I honestly think the whole discussion on who has the better Emu is a load of bullcr@p.

Anyway Dvik is assisting the openMSX team once a while and I seriously hope he's going to assist in making openMSX directX compatible

I gave blueMSX a test run yesterday evening and it's certainly a really nice piece of work.Kudos to dvik!

I'm eagerly awaiting the v9000 implementation in openMSX which will surely be followed by blueMSX aswell. Anyway we really shouldn't be fighting eachother in the scene but making it a big group

It's either V9990 or Gfx9000. And regarding openMSX, there's Gfx9000 emulation work in progress.

I can better explain what is probably meant by v9000
People mixing up a GFX9000 which is the videocard and the video9000 which is the digitize unit and consist of the GFX9000+Digitize !

openmsx 0.4.0test3 for Debian GNU/Linux users:

this will install openmsx040test3 instantly on your machine. the package is not entirely finished but it does work out of the box on several machines. this does not include system roms except CBIOS.

to install (as root):
dpkg -i openmsx-0.4.0-1-i386.deb

to remove/purge (as root):
dpkg -r openmsx OR dpkg --purge openmsx

oh, i noticed that this debian package has been downloaded from this topic for over 20 times. are there really that many debian users? or are there people that download it while its useless to them anyway??

I haven't downloaded it yet... But sometime, I will. I have debian, but I'm satisfied with Win2K for the time being...

oh, and a tiny addition (cant edit after 30f...ing minutes): you could use wget <url> to download the package (apt-get install wget if you havent got it)
