Does anyone still remember which disk of Randar 3 should be inserted, and which button must be held down to play this game?

Sure. Disk 5. No buttons to play it afaik. It boots without pressing any buttons. |

Ok... does anybody know which one of the disks is the second disk for Soldier of Fisla.
Man, I always played until I was asked for a second disk (at least... I think it asks for that: I can't read Japanse ). This happened after the first village.
By the way, I think that animation wise this is one of the best MSX games ever made. Notice the fox in the multi layer scroll when your main character walks through the woods. Compile should have done more with this animation engine |

Thanks! By the way, is this game also included in your Randar 3-translation, Rikusu-san?
Some animations are very cool, indeed. Too bad they didn't add some music.
For all I care, they could have put in some old Golvellius 2 bgm's or something, just to have some sound with it.
Never had the disk 2 problem though.

Hehe, I haven't translated Randar 3 (yet), only part 1 and 2. Randar 3 was being translated by someone else, but I haven't heard anything about that project for a long time now. Maybe I will translate Randar 3 sometime . Soldier of Fisla is, I think, the very first version of Randar 3. It uses the same kind of engine as Randar 2, is the same kind of game and features the same main character. But apparently Compile decided it would be nice to make Randar 3 a mature game. |

Disk B therefore, doesn't exist. Soldier of Fisla was never finished, it became Randar 3.

I think it was someone who calls himself Konamiman, he's from Spain, but unfortunately I don't know more. Afaik there is no website about it. It was in the MSX mailinglist a couple of years ago.

No it's a user called Warau (unless he might use different names on different forums.)
Check the following topic.

Konamiman is a Spanish geezer who is in real life known as 'Nestor Soriano Vilchez' (yes, the developer of InterNestorSuite, and yes, developer of NestorPreTer, and yes, developer of NestorBASIC, and finally yes, HOLY MAN )... His website is http://www.konamiman.com (how original )
You should find his e-mail address there as well.
[edit]Didn't read the stuff about that Warau guy. Sorry [/edit] |

No. It is Konamiman I was talking about, no doubt about it. Warau is either someone else who is also translating Randar 3, or it is the same person.
To make things clear: I really want to translate Randar 3 for quite some time now, and the only reason why I didn't start translating was that Konamiman announced on the mailinglist he was busy translating the game a couple of years ago. That has nothing to do with research. |

I know personally both persons, Konamiman and Warau, and the one who was doing the translation was Warau himself.

It's the nick thing that tricked me. Possibly once Konamiman posted something about this Randar 3 translation and I automatically assumed he was the one doing it. The mailinglist post doesn't contain any nickname, so I guessed it was Konamiman
Not important, anyway. I must indeed continue the Rune Worth translation, but I personally find Randar 3 more interesting. Rune Worth will probably take a while before it's translated, it contains huge amounts of texts. |
