Like I said, mail Padial and ask him for the software. Unless someone here has the exact same interface they won't be able to help you. And it looks like no-one has an interface like that... Alternatively download all the HD software you can find from funet.fi and try each and every one of them to see if they work. You might get lucky if Padials design is similar to one of the more common interfaces out there.

My friend, it's not your playground. I asked for help. I'm not interested in your "fun".
Go boy, play somethere else... I need help with SCSI, not some uprelated pile of crap. |

| Could it be a MegaSCSI clone?
Or Bart SCSI?
What other variations are available?
Thanks a lot in advance!

You should take a look at the Ultimate MSX FAQ, which contains quite some info on Novaxis too: http://faq.msxnet.org/ |

{moderated}! I already tried to help you best as I could, and others too! So if you don't like crap in 'your' thread, you shouldn't have posted this message yourself!

First of all I would like to thank all the smart and helpful people: Sonic_aka_T, bacterion and msd
You guys helped me finding out more about LPE SCSI:
1) Most probably it's not a Novaxis SCSI clone, because there is no WD chip and the version of bios is 2.46, while latest Novaxis bios is 1.51 (msd hacked 1.50 it for better performance on 7MHz modded MSX-2/2+)
2) The suggestion to try and contact Leonardo was very good. I already got the answer from him. He promised to look for software for this product. Not necessarily he'll find it, but at least he's looking
{moderator: lets keep it on topic}

BOTH are out of rules here!.
At start GuyveR800 just found a broken smile, when he post in this thread, and do a fully second test here (he will to open other thread just for that?)
But he is wrong when he say.... F*** you!, to explain that he already post some help, I verify it and he wrote "maybe is a BERT clone".
But, YOU dhau are also wrong when you reply with a big insult to his behavior and life.
So, the question is : how much can bothered a second test of a broken smile on your thread?, too much as for reply in that way?.
Maybe both need be moderated. Here. Maybe dhau more than GuyveR800

Ok, I have a great idea, let's all leave this forum and move to General forum and create new topic: "GuyveR800 vs dhau: the battle of the millennium". We can all go nuts and get pissed off and call for moderators all we want where. But here it's a hardware-related forum. And I need help with the MSX SCSI controller, made by Leonardo Padial. And I would really appreciate if people will stop preaching and will either try to help or go to another forum for their fix of daily flamewar

...and so, we stumble from one flame war into another... :@
[edit]Gomen naisai, this line isn't dealing with hardware whatsoever [/edit] |

Dhau - We found out that you have got a piece of Padial hardware here. Have you contacted Padial already? I'm sure he can send you all information (and software) you need...

I must have overlooked quite a lot. If I'm correct, you did contact Padial already, but he does not have the software you need to get it running? (Developers should really be more careful with backups). How about MSX Info (www.msxinfo.com), who are distributing Padial hardware? I don't think they ever sold the Padial SCSI, but hey, you never can tell...

Maybe it's a good idea that Padial makes a few pages with info about his old products. Shouldn't be more than 20 minutes of work..... I guess it's not a bad idea to have a page about each discontinued product along with a manual and drivers... Well, just my humble opinion...

Maybe the former club of Padial have it. Because Leonardo sold this via MSX replay
I ask Rafa ...

Thanks a lot guys, you are truly helpful! I am going through the bios with a disassembler. It looks criptic to me, but may be eventually I'll start understanding what it means
