| SCC inside MSX?

Hi, I was curious if it is possible to de-solder SCC chip from cartridge and solder it inside of MSX, but add a three-position switch: Off / Slot-1 / Slot-2
This would simplify life with all those cart that expect SCC in certain slot...
Plus it gives extra free slot for stuff like mapper or SCSI...
If anyone did this already, please give some instructions in "Soldering SCC chip inside your MSX for Dummies" style  |

This will not free up a slot, since it will just occupy one internally. SCC is not an I/O based device that can be built-in like a MSX-MUSIC or MoonSound.

So how does it coexist with megarom in MSX cartridges?
Please elaborate, because I am not an expert and I am very curious to know why it's possible or not possible.

To short it: SCC has some RAM for wave forms, and that RAM could create a memory conflict if another cartridge is inserted in that slot.

SCC *is* the megarom mapper. |
