Basically, the music module was only commercially supported by its internal software. However, in the 90s the amateur community discovered this soundcard and started developing trackers, demo's and games for it. The majority of the dutch amateur productions support this soundcard.

countless support .. try FAC Soundtracker, Moonblaster, Pro-Tracker (somewhat limited tho) .. amongst other trackers..
try any 90's demodisk (except those dedicated scc ones, like Fony demodisk 1)
try the 90's diskmags..
etc. etc.

Try the following:
Start your MSX without any disk in your drive;
Insert a Compile diskstation or game disk;
Type the following (excl. my remarks)
POKE -54,35 rem changes the music module into MSX audio
POKE&HF346,1 rem something like, MSX DOS was already loaded
_SYSTEM rem start MSX DOS / boot from disk (hey, I can't describe it)
and voila, your discstation / game starts with nice tunes
please note that this doesn't work with all the FM-PAC supported games,
(btw, also from the MSX FAQ)
"Supports mainly the Panasonic MSX-Audio and since the Philips Module doesn't contain an Audio BASIC ROM the Compile software assumes there is no MSX-Audio present."

check www.thefuzz.nl and leach the whole demo section from the Fuzz. Almost all demos use Audio & FM. Just like all the other demo stuff mentioned above here!
Commercial softs only use FM pack stuff, while some comps, indeed Compile, supports Audio by using the poke trick which kuuno describes.
good luck |

Pipeline Gorbatchov ('Pipeline de Gorby'), Aleste, IIRC Aleste II also, Aleste Gaiden, anyway, most of Compile MSX games.

Practically all our games ,and if I mention some titles free to be downloaded are e.g. KPI Ball, blue warrior, bladelords etc. Snout gave already the clue where, otherwise download them from the sunrise page and e.g. Sonyc of Manuel Pazos from his site
