Yup! I've seen it before, definately! It was meant as a kind of 'laptop'-MSX, you could flip the screen onto the keyboard and there you'd go! Dunno the exact specs, but since it's Japanese, it probably only has 64kB RAM/128kB VRAM. I dunno things like input voltage/PSU voltage, however. But I can't recall where I've seen it before.
Maybe something to store into the MSX Museum Box?  |

It's not an MSX, it's a portable wordprocessor (I think it even has a printer built-in) with the same word-processing software as in the Panasonic FS-A1WSX MSX2+ computer.
It'll probably be quite MSX-like hardwarewise, but I don't think it's capable of running other software than the built-in software.

The original price is frightening: 165.000 yen. That is a lot of cash!

That's about 1700 euros, if I'm not mistaken... But then again, it's the original price! My parents' first Wintel Brick (which was a Pentium I 166 MMX with an afwul big HDD (4.3GB  )), was top of the top at the time (1995 or so). It cost them about 5000 guilders, which is about equivalent to 2250 euros at the moment... So I don't think 1650 euros as an original price is an awful lot for a laptop MSX...  |

Actually, you'll find that the going rate for a laptop computer in what I would guess to be even before 1990 is a whole lot more than a 'whopping' 1700 euros. I remember having a 386 33 laptop around that time with a 13" LCD screen which had cost about twice that sum... It only lived for a year and a half by the way *grumble*

I don't owe it, but I have somewhere at home an Amstrad PCW. It is almost the same, and it has got a lovely Z80 too
