The first beta's really look cool. At this moment it's no use downloading it since there's no gameplay yet. Just menu's.

Hahahahahhahaha, I totally agree, I can't stop laughing xDDD
About the remake, I liked so much the menus and the music, but about the gameplay (of course, in development), I didn't like the screens rotations and the way of run the race... The gameplay should just the very same as original F1 Spirit. |

Disagree. A remake isn't just about improved music and graphics. Of course it shouldn't be too different but the screen rotations do seem to suit the game surprisingly well. |

A new demo of F-1 Spirit remake has been uploaded. Pick it up from here ---> http://www.braingames.getput.com/f1spirit/downloads/f1spirit5.zip
Here's the changes (note: this is JUST a demo - everything can change):
- STOCK RACE track has now the same length than the original STOCK track of F-1 Spirit
- Engine sound added (volume for music has been lowered dramatically, but in future versions this should be modificable from the options menu)
- In this version, you can change the CAMERA mode by pressing F1 to F5 during the game (or by the options menu):
- F1 uses a camera WITHOUT rotation
- F2 follows the car
- F3 follows the track (as in previous demos)
- F4 follows the track in straight parts and the car in curves
- F5 follows the track in straight parts and interpolates the angle of the track and the car in the curves
About these camera modes: You can tell me which one you prefer the most. I will redirect your opinions to the programmer. I can be reached from mp83@_city_.fi (remove the _ marks).
There! Now I'll go back to work on those track preview pictures. Hopefully they will be ready for the remake pretty soon. |
