Nice new features: lap counting, time display, more sound effects, weather effect controled with 1-3, car crash over trees...

I probably missed a few things, but this is what I've found sofar.

The intro is awesome! Really! Music is great, too, was it composed especially for this remake or did you get it somewhere else?

As for the game, I really have to get used to the speed of the latest version. But it looks very promising!

Yours truly did those nice tunes, I arranged the F-1 Spirit music especially for this remake. Still not completed, tho, but we're getting there!

FYI; there has been a speed increase in this version. A good thing, IMHO, since now it actually feels like you're racing

That's true . Graphically things look pretty good as well... Are the in-game graphics to be polished as well in the future, just like the intro and menu screens?

Mais oui, of course all gfx will be polished and stuff. We still have ~ 1.5 months till the deadline for the competition, so expect a lot of changes before that deadline. Also, all music will be arranged, there will be new (and more) sound effects, and we will probably adapt the gameplay as well! Demo version 8 seems to be available today also. Ima thinking Ima gonna download it and have a quick look.

That server must have some severely limited bandwith... I can't get more than 9.7Kb/sec download (pretty poor considering I have a 3Mbit connection)

Ok, I maybe completely on my own here, or maybe I need to read the forum for this, but after going through some well presented menu's.... the game looks pretty much like the original.

What is the point of a remake if nothing new is being brough to it, even if it's only improved graphics? I may as well just play the original MSX version. Hopefully these graphics are temporary just while the game engine is being sorted out. Some tasty Hi-Res graphics would be nice :: hint hint ::

Still, it's given me the urge to fire up the original again

The in game graphics will be inproved in a later version of F1-Spirit,
our focus now is on the gameplay and AI of the enemy's.

I like the latest release which has been entered to the remakes.org competition. I reckon the game is one of the best entries.

Yeah... simply amazing, one of the best remakes I've ever seen.
