I just noticed that one is supposed to write a proper self-introduction here. Reminds me of the old BBS days...

My name is Iggy Drougge (hence the username), and I seem to be the only user here from Sweden. I own several SVI728's (I get the impression that they're the only model ever sold in .se, even if that's not the case), as well as a severely beat-up Goldstar FC200. Apart from MSX, I've got lots of old computers. C64s, C128s, Atari 8-bit, STs, Luxors, Spectrums, Spectravideo, TI, Dragon and so forth. I like to collect and use old computers. People who collect computers just for building up a large collection with collective value should be round up and shot, in my humble opinion; computers need love and electricity.
While I programmed AMOS BASIC in my youth, and had programming classes in the gymnasium, that has never really been my strong point; I program if necessary, seldom for leisure.
What I might be able help the MSX scene with is my Japanese knowledge. I've studied it for several years, the last year in Tokyo.
What I particularly like about computers is the demo and music scenes. I love listening to "chip music", especially the PSG kind. I suppose that it's like how rock people listen to the guitars more than the tune itself. I just love hearing the composers torture their little sound chips. Therefore, you may often find me at www.vorc.org/ or www.kohina.com/.
Hope we get along well, MSX old timers.

Welcome on MRC in the MSX world !

I don't think that you are the only user from Sweden. Daniel Vik, the blueMSX programmer, comes also from Sweden, but it lives now in California.

Nice to see another MSX user who is able to speak, read and write Japanese! Where in Tokyo did you study Japanese? Are you graduated yet? Many questions, but nice having you around. If you wish to train your written Japanese skills, don't hesitate to join our team as a Japanese translator! (Currently I am the only one around - so you need to like me as well ).

Frisian and Swedish are said to be very similar, indeed

But then again, Frisian is very similar to Russian as well. I don't understand either

Was norwegian, which swedes understand like dutch understand belgian. The only frisianish word was Du which would have been Do or Dû...

It is so that if you're a frisian with an open mind for languages, you'll pick up those scandinavian languages faster than other dutch people will...

The thing I wrote upthere says:
Yippie, people from sweden.
You have a good time here...
