Well, I guess [D-Tail]'s reaction was perhaps a bit harsh, but I can very much understand the impact all the negativity some people spread on these forums has on him. I know it has on me...
And eventhough [D-Tail] is a moderator, most scientists seem to agree that he is most probably also a human being, like 80% of the people on these forums. Human beings can at times tire and sound a little grumpy...

IMO, [D-tail] did the right thing. It's about time someone with 'authority' set that thinlizzy (or is it fatwebby?) right. He's really fouling up the atmosphere and continually challenging and crossing the forum rule limits.
Just my 2c.

Well, I was kinda freaked out you know. Thinlizzy: don't feel sorry now, but I sometimes get mad for nothing, but I truly felt you didn't contribute in any way to this discussion. So I stated my point, maybe a bit too harsh, and now I own such a Pentarou icon some people may believe that every say I say is on behalf of MRC. This wasn't, it was just a personal remark. As Sonic stated, I'm just human too.
All I tried to say is: post something useful, or at least something concerning the subject. Not like cos that simply doesn't matter. It's happening a lot lately, discussions getting out of bounds, so I for one am in favor of setting bounds to this. It's just like 'state the point', and hoping next time they will remind it.
GuyveR800: I'm no person with 'authority'. Remember I'm still supervised by people like snout (hey there! ). Though it's not nice of you to call thinlizzy names. It's nothing like he or anybody else's crossing the forum rule limits. If anyone does, it'll simply get a mod-alert and the post will be moderated. There. But I feel a warning should be the right first step to be done. If that's a bit harsh, so be it. You don't deserve it for nothing. |

| Nice to see how a "Mopi Remake" topic ends up in a totaly other subject
|
Unfortunately, it's common to go off-topic once in a while in a thread... Anyway, back to the on-topic setting of this thread.
Nice to see Mopi Ranger do something. Is there any chance to get the DirectX thingy inside a Window to make it movable and minimize it? Hope to see Mopi Ranger in a somewhat more playable state soon. |

That's why I wrote 'authority' in quotation marks.

I went creative on that it's kinda an inverse of his nickname.
thin -> fat (duh)
lizzy -> webby (Lizzy is the dutch name for the niece of the nephews Duck (from Ducktales etc), Webby is the english name.)
It's not name calling, it's just a little joke. |

I know, but webby was kinda unknown nicknaming to me . gheh. m'kee drugs are bad u know.
For some of you who don't know (and prolly don't care ) Thin Lizzy was a quite famous pop/rock band with Phil Lynard as the creative mind (who isn't amongs the living no more, ofcourse like all legends.. famous when you're dead) .. well, b.o.t now. |

Nice job. Noticing the things you are going to work on next will complete the main engine I think.

Ok... as promised, a Level editor.
Download 0.06 to use it.
Read the readme.txt how to use it.
It is still unfinished work, things need to be implemented still.

Not that I want to criticize anything, but... Isn't a game remake only useful when there's some value added compared to the original? Like upgraded graphics and the like? Otherwise installing an MSX emulator and running Mopi Ranger would do the same thing...
Ok, ok, a level editor is included. That's nice to start with! But I saw a Maze of Galious remake somewhere which was really cool since it was upgraded in several ways.
