If you asked me, that's pretty much what I'd want from a new MSX. Sure, I'd much rather had a multitask-supported Java Runtime Environment than a single-task Linux environment, and the clock could be faster; but its mobility (in particular, the pocket-size factor), connectivity, high configurability and cost/benefit ratio would make it a great core for an embedded / mobile device.

I think Nishi's plans on the one-chip-MSX are quite close to this, actually. Lets see what he comes up with
