q/ Now that you are retired are your fingers still quick enough for the hyper sports/track & field type games?
I think he uses a couple of auto-fire features for that

Bifi said in the Questions for Konami's PR retired man the auto-fire feature can be used for track and field games, does anyone know if one was ever made? of if one is avaliable for the "run" function. Can an existing controller be modified? does anyone know an autofire circuit to modify the "Run" Controller?

Using a 555 IC it's quite simple to make an auto-fire. And a dutch magazine published an auto-fire with IIRC a 4066 IC. Theoretically you can auto-press any key/direction on a joystick/joypad/hyper shot. The 555 IC trick is IIRC a quite common curcuit with a capacitor and 2 resistors... Replacing one would enable you to change the trigger speed.

Based on the RC tiiming equation, so if you had a variable reistor you could make a variable speed contoller - similar to the speed controllers on a MSX2+ ?

I have three hypershot controllers, maybe I should modify one so i can enhance games play

OR is it called "cheating" ?

I've seen games detect 'autofire' and call you a cheater
It can be done because a person can never push buttons at exactly the same interval each time, like an autofire circuit does.
